I’ve read that quo as in Status Quo isn’t valid for the same reason vu as in Deja Vu isn’t - it’s not a stand along word - it’s part of that expression(?)/phrase(?). Thanks for watching!

AI was a bad play I think. If he'd have kept the A and drawn the Q later there is AQUA from the A in AXE

If I recall correctly, Josh said after the game that he didn't even think about the fact that he could draw the Q. And that he'd never have played it otherwise.

So these players were playing with the NWL18 lexicon where neither word was good. Both now appear to be good in WOW24. So they both must be new additions to the latest lists. NWL18 was a compromise between the players because they mainly play different dictionaries (Jackson NWL/WOW, and Josh CSW). Thanks for watching!
