Sir i have a question regarding the propulsion system. Sir, can we make such a vehicle that will use a particular type of engine which use both air intake as well as rocket propulsion ?? I mean that the vehicle will design like an aircraft and it will take off like an aircraft by using engines like conventional aircrafts. But after reaching a certain height when the air will get very thin, the vehicle will use its rocket propulsion engines to go beyond the atmosphere and further to dock with iss.
you need to have a proper requirement of the mission. When we think of such kind of aircrafts, basically we expect it to have good maneuverability and this cannot be achieved when we use complex heavy engines. in order to take a rocket engine to a specific altitude, it is not possible for a aircraft engine to carry such a huge payloads, but an aircraft can carry a payloads like supersonic and hypersonic missiles, but cannot carry payloads that dock to the ISS.!!
Sir ,I have a doubt in this concept the generation of a shock wave reduce the velocity of the flow into super Sonic to sub Sonic,even occuring a oblique shock wave why not it doesn't happen in scramjet engine??
