I love those templates. I have all 3 sets and just got through cutting out with the Scrap Crazy 6”. Would love to see what you would make with just one or two of those templates.

I have the smaller one. I took my scraps, cut them up and now they are in a box waiting for me to finish putting them together. Very slow since I am putting decorstive stitches on all the joining seams.🤪🤪

Michelle, yes I’ve done the Crazy 8 with decorative stitches & it certainly does take time, but the results are worth it! I know you will love your finished quilt! Happy Quilting! Lori

How scrappy would you go with these templates? Would you only choose 10 inch squares that all "go" together? Any opinion, on not using 10 inch squares rather scraps - so that all of those pieces are different? (I've mostly see this set used with a "layer cake" - coordinated or the author/designer has put a "yellow" in each of the "A" spots for that design...)

You can go either route... extremely scrappy where every block is completely different... that would be more of a true "Crazy quilt" design. OR, you could use a 'controlled' scrappy where you use 5 or 10 fabrics that coordinate or complement one another. However, if you are trying to 'use up your stash,' I suggest going completely scrappy! I LOVE using up my stash! Have fun! (P.S. I like the idea that you mentioned of placing one element of the same color in each block...that gives your eye a 'resting place' when looking at the quilt! Happy Quilting!! Lori Dickman
