Dorothy, you truly are a master at creating embellishment clusters! Thank you so much for explaining your process and thoughts when creating clusters, including taking a photo before adhering the pieces down. That is a really helpful tip!
Good morning Dorothy! You know, when this collection came out I didn't buy any because I didn't care so much for the colors, especially for summer, but I'm loving how you are using it! Everything goes together so well and the blue water looks SO inviting with the double matting...I'm with you; I have to enter the water slowly to acclimate myself; however, there are plenty of times I dive right into the pool to get it over (that's in a pool though). I love everything about your layout, particularly those lovely die cut pieces from Stampin' Up and your foam alphas. I buy a lot of alpha dies so I never run out of a letter...I haven't used the double-sided foam yet for fear of making my dies sticky. I will risk it though 😉 Thank you so much for sharing your process. Have a wonderful weekend (it's close)!
Thanks Cindy! I've never even thought about making my dies sticky...something I definitely wouldn't like! I can report, it's never been an issue. I use mostly the foam sheets from Scrapbook. com. I've also used Stampin up foam sheets. (The Be Creative tape sheets for flat alphas work well also.) So far with this collection, I've created 4 double page spreads. The colours are dark for summer, however I find it easy to use. I've been pairing it with bright white cardstock and I think that helps lighten it. Have a great week!
I love the way you incorporated the icon ephemera and sticker to you central cluster. I struggle with using icons so I'm bookmarking this to remind me. Thanks for sharing!
