YT had me stumbling to your channel. 😊 WELCOME to the Stampin’ UP! family. My heart hurt for all of the Makers when I first heard the news. I know many of us are really looking forward to getting know all of the Makers and learning from them. I haven’t dabbled in traditional scrapbooking in years so it’s an exciting time. Now I’m going to watch some of your other videos.
Welcome to SU! I don’t think you will regret your decision. SU always does what they say and they treat us (demos) very well. While I don’t know the rules given to the CTMH makers, I do know that on the SU side of things we are allowed to show unboxings whenever you receive it. It is only the inside of the catalog you cannot show u til May 1st. One more thought, give SU time. Overtime they will continue to develop the scrapbooking products and get better and better at forecasting customer demand. As a demo myself I am excited to see all the new goodies that are coming our way.
Welcome to SU! I think you'll be as pleased with the quality of the products if not more so. Looking forward to seeing all the creativity the makers bring to the group.
Jayma you’re sweet. I’m in the growing out process with the hair, it’s a challenge. Thanks for name reminder on the Shimmer Brushes. I get into the. Idea and my brain goes to mush.
Happy to hear all the makers have been very impressed with SU's new commitment to scrapbooking and onboarding from CTMH. I, like you, am a skeptic, but I'm being hopeful along with you all. Congrats on your decision!!
Congratulations on your move! I’m with Creative Memories as I’m mainly a scrapbooker. CM has a great incentive for Makers who had to make very hard decisions. CM has no minimum order requirements. I’m in Canada and can answer many of your questions and if I can’t I’ll send you to the right person. I can only sell and have a team in Canada. Take a look at the CM site. The product is awesome, truly and with the no minimum spending you may want to take a look. CM has a great incentive for CTMH makers. I’ll be sure to check your YT channel
I didn't realize Creative Memories also did an incentive to CTMH Makers. I really love Creative Memories products. I would miss not having ink. I don't see CM demonstrators using ink on their pages. I love to distress and use ink and make vintage looking pages!!
@@nancyann1090 many advisors do. CM does not sell ink pads but many of us use our dot pens or ink pads from other companies. I have many ink pads from CTMH and Stampin’ Up. I can send you the letter from CM in welcoming CTMH makers to the CM family if you like.
I think you are completely correct to be cautious. I am glad to hear that Stampin Up is doing more with scrapbooking, but it's good to be cautious because they did used to have scrapbook stuff and stopped for whatever business reasons they had. So I am also leery of how long do they plan to do this. I think if you are a focused scrapbooker and not really a cardmaker I think it could be a real struggle for you and I would recommend Creative Memories as a back up. I have used there products for years and they have such fun and good scrapbooking stuff. I am sad they don't have inks and stamps but Tim Holtz has wonderful inks and I don't do a lot of stamping on my scrapbook pages. I do love to ink stuff on my pages though and do vintage looks. But Creative Memories may fit you better if you don't feel Stampin Up has enough scrapbook stuff for you. Creative Memories is high quality. Creative Memories has weekly videos with Noreen on their You Tube channel that really show off their products. I totally get wanting to try Stampin Up with their great offer, butt Creative Memories could be a great back up plan!
Welcome to SU! As someone who just joined SU the end of February, yes you got a very generous offer. I wish all the new Makers the very best. SU has talked about really working on the scrapbooking side. There are some scrapbookers in the SU community. I think give SU time to build their scrapbook line. When it comes to new product (available 5/1), you are allowed to have a video of your unboxing of the preorder items you've bought. You just cannot show the inside of the card. You can show a picture of the front of the catalog. I feel you will do well with SU. You will be an asset to the SU community.
You mentioned in your video that you were not allowed to share products until the catalogue goes “live” on May 1. Stampin’ Up policy is that while we can not share what’s inside the catalogue (you can show the front and back cover) until it is available for everyone (no inside images), you can share any products you have purchased and have in your hands and anything you have created with them. Quite a few of us do “unboxing” videos to share what we have ordered so we can get our customers and team members excited for the new products. I thought I would share that so that you could share your products with your customers and team members if you chose to do so. It is always fun to see what has arrived! Welcome once again and I wish you all the best! xo Marcy
Hi Susan - you can share the product you buy - you just can't share the inside of the catalogue until 01 May. So you can do your unboxing of your kit, you can even make product and share it too.
You can share product. Just cant show the inside of the new catalog. You can show the outside of the new catalog and any preorder product you have. Welome😊
I do think Stampin Up paper is better quality than CTMH, but I am not a huge fan of the white core. Stampin Up is much thicker and durable and I like that for card bases and for die cuts and embossing. But if you like the white core of CTMH than I get why you would like it better.
