Which machine are you using? I have an old expression with cartridges and the only reason I haven't upgraded to a newer machine was because I didn't want to pay everytime I used it. Is the design program you did all this tutorial in free to use?

Cricut Design Space is free to use. The fees people typically pay are a Cricut Access Subscription which gets you access to Crcicut's Library of SVG files. If you are doing your designs in the software or using SVG files you already own from other sources, you can use it for free.
