Hello scrappers and planet lovers. This video will show you all the free gold, silver, copper, and other metals that are found in a large flatscreen television. The nice thing with about any type of tv and electronic is that once I remove the precious metals, I can take the rest of the electronic to a scrap yard for cash or drop it off at an electronic depot and divert it from the landfill. In this video I will show you how to safely and effectively separate the metals in order to maximize your profits.

Excellent Tin Man. I don't think our yards here have an electronics price or accept them, but the bottle recycle places do. /cheers Bongo

always enjoy your vids, very informative, just started scrapping nov. 2021, and just started today getting into the 35 or so flatscreens i've piled up, the steel/shred unexpectedly has kept me so busy many things are piling up, but i'll bet there's more than 1000 lbs of steel in those flatscreens, a couple i could barely lift into the truck, but got 4 done today, one was almost all aluminum which was nice.

Nice scores, good for you. Yup, amazing how quick things can pile up and how much you can actually find. Stay well and happy scrapping.

For those little spools, put a small screw driver through the hole and then clamp it in your vise. just pull and it will unravel in seconds. So satisfying too

I am a subscriber of yours and mostly happy with the vids. You just need a mic. A lavelier mic would be perfect.

@TinManScrapper
@TinManScrapper 2 года назад
If metal I bring in as tin, since worth more than ewaste. The rest of the items I bring in as ewaste.

@@TinManScrapper Thanks TV ewaste they don't pay for where I am at. I can dismantle and take the difference but I was leery about breaking into the screen. Any chemicals are anything that need to watch out for?

Refining was a waste of time,for me. Only way to get the gold off,into good sized chips,is soldering iron and heat them off! Don't bother with chemicals!

Why not take the intire tv apart. Then just recycle the plastic ?
@TinManScrapper
@TinManScrapper 3 года назад
Unfortunately our municipality does not take this plastic for recycling and the depot will to take just plastic remnants.
