Hello scrappers and planet lovers. In this video, I will show you all the free tin, copper, brass, and silver that is found in a toaster oven. Unfortunately, I see a lot of people pass these up on garbage day and I don't know why. I will show you how to safely and effectively identify and separate the metals in order to maximize your profit, and divert this appliance away from the landfill.

Are you saying you put the little white caps with brass under them, in with "40% brass not copper wire) that is going for $1.23 a pound.? Thanks.

I put them I. A bucket and the yard will buy them for around 40cents a pound. If i can cut the plastic or rubber cap off I put the brass plug end in my clean brass for $3.25 a pound.

Hey, Tin Man! I'm a newbie scrapper and was given a toaster oven to scrap. How come you don't pull the glass from the toaster oven door? Does it downgrade the metal scrap price to leave it on? Thanks for your videos!

Don’t have to. I will get same price with it on. If tin was worth copper price then they would make us take it off, but since it is only 0.08 a pound not a big deal with glass or plastic left on.
