Here in Edmonton, Canada, I donate all bike parts to a charity Edmonton Bicycle Commuters. I don't sell them because the used bike market is so shady, & customers want clean parts.
I did ask a question a few months ago, about a microwave I stripped one of the knobs, have a round golden thing inside, non magnatic not plastic and hard to scratch, what metal is it
@@TinManScrapper Most valve stems still have some plastic on them , so do you get that off ? & How ? or is it another category of brass at your yard ? Thanks
I got an strange ? , but I metal detect & have a couple thousand Brass Shotgun hulls without plastic but they do have paper & 50 to 100 years old gunpowder glaze . What is the easiest way to remove the paper so I have pure brass . + I have about 30 + pounds of Brass Plumbing parts , faucets with plastic & some iron deep inside them ; is there an easy way to cut these open ? Sawzall , Disc cutter ? & while I'm at it , I have much Aluminum EC cable to strip , I can handle the regular (pole to home type ) but what I call the " underground " type really gives me fits , you know the kind with the clear hard glue looking stuff under the black plastic coating . Is there an easy way to strip this ? or should I take it to my Recycling center the way it is like I usually do , unless I want pulled muscles , Carpel Tunnel Syndrome flare up's , & RAGE LOL . Thanks & Have a goodin . Dj in N Ga USA.
