I´m scratch building a wooden cargo terminal. The video is a detailed guide to scratch building in wood, painting, weathering and implementation into an excisting scenery.
I made this video hoping to inspire you to get started on scratch building in wood by showing how easy it actually is and what materials and techniques I use.
A video like this takes about 40 hours to make. Please think of each new video as a magazine subscription and support the channel to help me, helping you & reaching out to new people, so they also can discover the world of miniature modeling!

Hello, another great scratch build. The one thing that I was amazed with was, the making of the "glue" mould for the tile roof. I have never seen that done. So, as always I have learnt something new. Thanks again. See ya next time.

Great, admirable result! So much relaxing to watch. I wish you made a demo of the lamp at dusk - it was my favorite piece of this model. I was actually very surprised you didn't use the typical Swedish faluröd color with white framings ;)

I appreciate your tutorial. I've thought about crafting things with wood, but never had much confidence in my abilities. I feel quite inspired, and when I start working on my model train layout again, I'll probably build the mining structures this way. By the way, with the orange roof, the shed reminds me of the Howard Johnson hotels and restaurants that used to be all over the United States (sadly they are almost all gone now and the company I think has one or two locations left).

Hey, that's a great idea of making a mock up first. I do a lot of scratch building myself. I make my own windows since my scale is just a little larger than HO scale. I scratch build for O scale--have to use a larger scale 'cause I'm so clumsy. O scale is a little more forgiving. Great tutorial.

Martin, I adore your idea of using store bought molded styrene as a mold itself for a PVA casting. Helt lysande. My great-grandparents were from Tol'anga. So that and Mongatack are the limit of my Swedish. Now a comment. Your use of White paint inside the mounted lamp is OK, however, here in the U.S. & Canada we have a plastic based paint called PLASTI DIP. Copy cats from other major paint producer are also made. This material is quite brushable and when it drys it is a permanent bonding insulator. For all of your videos we ex-patriots say MONGATACK, Jim

Try sticky back sandpaper on your block for much more accurate sanding. It's even better on a aluminum T bar.

Great tutorial. I love to scratch build, but my techniques are a little different as I "invent" the process as I go (on the fly). I do admire your ability to make it look real, especially by adding the light fixture and adding an LED to light it up. I probably would only have lit the interior instead of the exterior.

This is beyond amazing. I love that grass, those trees and foliage, and the woodshed is brilliant. I need help with identifying all the materials you use and some possible alternatives since it's impossible to find most in south america! For example, how can i replace that patterned wood if it's not available here? Any tips? Your videos are always great! Cheers from Argentina
