Idk how credible the source was but I read somewhere that the OG idea was to have Emma Roberts survive and Sidney killed. They added the hospital scene as a last minute decision apparently
If this happened, Jill would be known as like the weakest ghost face Because the end is what literally made her stronger than a lot of ghost because she survived getting stabbed in the shoulder, cutting her body over 70 times, ripping her out and ripping her skin out Also, surviving 360 V of electric electric to the head also lifting and finding Sydney defeated Dewey and shot an officer also her destroying the hospital room and sneaking around the hospital. Get to Sydney. So I like this ending but I also don’t.
Too bad the original ending was axed, with Jill surviving and Sydney having amnesia of what happened in the planned follow up. I like the new movies too, but I think 5 actually isn’t that good (even worse than 3, which is a little over hated). 5 doesn’t have as much action and I think since Covid and script changes (I think they removed Amber’s homosexuality/bisexuality plot with Tara (which technically they could have still added, make Amber more protective of Tara in the film than she was) and gave it to Mindy, since her actress is gay). I know the guy stabbed outside the bar was supposed to actually have a more fun death scene where Ghostface was hitching a ride on his truck and when the guy pulls over to checks with what’s wrong with his truck, he ends up getting killed, rather than the boring death scene he got. I also think the Wes (I’m a bit sad that they used Wes Craven’s name for him, only to die quite unfair I feel; no offense to the actor, the bare bones script was to blame), Liv (There was a Olivia in the last film who was also kind of bland, so I don’t know why they gave her that name, rather than like Ashley or Rachel or Heather, because she also doesn’t look like a Liv), and Amber (don’t get me wrong, her being a killer and her actress were fine, it was just she had nothing to do but be suspicious and when the other characters we should suspect were more boring than her, I guessed she was the killer like 20 minutes in) were undeveloped (which does happen in Scream, 4 had a couple too, though they got things to do) and it makes me dislike the film. I also don’t like how Dewey died. I just think it was a film that should have been pushed back so Covid wouldn’t mess up the action death scenes they needed in it. I love how 6 really put more focus on the over the top deaths and making sure each character was decently portrayed with more character.
and if scream 5 would be her off to college with her fame but have somebody know about her sinning & haunt her. It’d be so cool if it was Gale or Kirby that would be thw killer
If that happened I would literally go after the writers of Scream 🫢 anyways we all know Sydney will never die if she did then that's a cheap scream film
