Eren's voice actor actually hurt his throat in this episode.

The reason why Mikasa decided to “confess” during that obviously very dangerous and grim moment is she thought that they were finally going to die, (seriously, like for real this time, no escape, no 3dm gear, no titan power to help them out of that fucked situation, if you don't count the coordinate power which eren didn't know he actually had that time) and she will never have the chance to do it. She wanted to comfort eren, convince him that he was actually not useless (like some people say). Eren NEVER was useless for me too. Then she leans for her first and supposedly LAST kiss for Eren, and Eren actually understood what Mikasa meant and what she was trying to do with that kiss, "she was giving up on life" with that kiss. This made Eren remember what her mother was telling her about also being always there for Mikasa, so if he accepts Mikasa's kiss then it would just mean that he was accepting their current situation, their fate, their inevitable death, and this would break his promise to his mom, contradicting what he always told Mikasa to never back down and fight. So he stood up, the kiss can always wait later, and this time he always be there for Mikasa.

Their expressions, their feelings everything is shown on their face. Goes to show how much they get into their characters to voice them. Just top-tier work from Yuki Kaji and Yui Ishikawa. It brings chills down the spine.

i swear these guys are one of the most satisfying reactors on attack on titan like their ideas are so organized and it's really amazing how they are able to come up and organize their ideas based on what's given which most people would only notice once they rewatch . keep up the amazing work guysss much love ❤️

You know what's disturbing? The titan that ate Eren's mom is actually someone way more important then you think.

Many people tend to forget that during season 2, for one little moment, everything clicked. The scene were Eren uses the Coordinate to control the titans is one of the most important pieces of information in the whole series.

Honestly, highlight of this video was at 14:09 , where instead of just saying "its the beast titan", again as the answer , you were able to catch she was meaning something else, and ask for clarification. It usually takes me 2 times before I realize there is a miss-communication. I strive to be able to do that first time.

The anime does a good job at giving hints ahead of time versus the manga. Some arcs are made more fluent and things like Ymir's past was brought up quicker to drop hints at the bigger picture. Not sure if you've already started Season 3 (as this could have been filmed awhile back), but pieces will come together. Watching the seasons back to back to back (2, 3 Part 1, and 3 Part 2) will help as it will be fresh in your minds to put it all together.

When Dina ate Hanes: Another one 😭😭😭😭 these edits had me dead 😭😭😭

Nothing is more disheartening than to have the power and means to save someone, but failing because of circumstances. Major props to Yuki Kaji for his phenomenal voicework of Eren's emotional breakdown. He really nailed Eren's feelings of helplessness, frustration, and anger at himself so well. Fun fact, Kaji was given full reign of that scene without direction. He was told to do whatever he felt was right for Eren in that moment and they'll match the animation to it (Source: Kaji himself at AX). The Eren/Mikasa scene was just beautiful and another one of my favorite moments of S2. Mikasa basically gave up in that moment, but because of her words to Eren, he was able to find the strength to stand up and move forward. To stand up and protect Mikasa. Him declaring that he'll always protect her now and forever was simply touching! When Ymir wakes up from 60 long years as a titan, she gazes up at the starry night sky with tears in her eyes as she realizes her newfound freedom. Now, she yet again gazes up at the starry night sky with tears in her eyes as she chooses to give up her freedom by going with Reiner and Bertholdt. "Someone...please find us" Well, Ymir certainly found them. In the end, she still can't stop living for others.
