I saw them back in 1994 when I was underage at Empire nightclub Hindly St Adelaide. In the good old days where you could smoke and drink on the dance floor. Then get Fast Eddys at 7am, while waiting for your mates to get out of the lockup and head on home to sleep all day, so you could go out again that night and do it all again. The Jets are freaking awesome.
Got to talk briefly to David Gleeson at " The battle of the bands" near Noosa Heads. I said " Go Newcastle!" and he was on the same page. A brilliant singer and a nice guy who didn't think too much of himself. And as always, a great performance I will never forget !!
Saw them live on their 91 tour with baby animals. Awesome show. A year later I joined a band whose lead singer had a similar voice so did heaps of screaming jets. This was my fav song. Good times.
Judge Mercy, The Poor Boys & The Screaming Jets at the Tom Tom Club (Kardomah Cafe for those old enough to remember) = lifetime Tinittus. Yeah it was worth it \m/
