Why in the heck were you holding that cicada by its wing while it was trying to pull away? Were you trying to get it to Rip its wing off? BRO THAT AIN’T COOL!!!!!!! I SHOULD REPORT THIS VIDEO!!!!
The cicadas we have in the US in a large group can generate 70dB. The African cicada can reach 107dB about chainsaw loud, but it has to be measured at 2 feet away to achieve that.
@sparky_boomstick Yes, but once they mate then their life is complete, what if it was still trying to find a female. That's why as soon as they shed, they try to find a mate, because like you said they don't have a long time.
Why are people so mad about the wings? Cicadas have some of the most durable insect wings that are meant to withstand being shaken around and pecked by birds. It takes a surprising amount of effort to break them.
Exactly. Millions of years of evolution and survival created a tough insect. These people treating them like fragile cotton balls are frankly insulting them.
@@RileyyyKsome spook me too, even though I know they’re harmless. Cicadas are just so big and loud and the flying around freaks me out. I love spiders though, but keep a respectable distance from the dangerous ones.
Idk how but I did this to a sadly injured wing cicada it didn’t make a sound but was happily alive so I’ve named him fisher he’s doing well and he trusts me idk how but yea he crawled up my arm and didn’t go back
I was mowing the lawn a couple weeks back, when the cicadas in my state were running wild, and they were all around me in the air and on the ground. A couple came close to me, but I shooed them off whenever they did. Then one pass over the lawn, one of them landed on my arm, and I yelled out and grabbed him... he screamed just like this video, and I screamed back, sounding like a damn chimpanzee before I threw him away! It was 2 dumbasses screaming at each other, lol
Man: ooooo ooo cicada Cicada: NYEUHAYBDHHYHRTFGHRTUBRGJURRSEDRIJT4DHNR3DR|translation: HAY U LITTLE (sentence has been mutes 10X times) Cicada after: F### YOU *Flys away*
