DIRECTIONS/ BLOG POST:
Hi Friends! Andrea Lake here with a new project for We R Makers. I personalized three pencil pouches I found at Michael’s Stores using the Vinyl Print Press tool. I used my Silhouette Cameo 4 to cut the iron-on vinyl. I used the CG Party Girl font designed by Carina Gardner and added the words Crafty Girl. I then followed the steps to make sure my design looked super pretty on my surface:
1. Prep your workspace- Cover your work surface with a self-healing mat, towel or old sheet.
2. Cut and weed your design: I used my silhouette Cameo 4 and iron-on vinyl. You don’t need to mirror your design to cut it.
3. Transfer the design to the silkscreen frame that came with your We R Memory Keepers Kit.
4. Place the sticky side of the vinyl down onto the silkscreen frame.
5. Let’s Print: Place your blank pouch on the bottom plate of the vinyl print press and close the press.
6. Add Paint: Pour a small amount of ink onto the top corner of the design. Use the squeegee to spread the ink evenly across the screen.
7. Reveal the design: Lift the screen to reveal your newly printed bag and set it aside to dry.
8. Set the new design: iron over the design with a heat shield or parchment paper between your design and the iron.
9. Clean your screen for future use: Clean the screen immediately after use with soap and cold water. Let it dry.
TIPS OR ADVICE:
• The possibilities are endless when you work with this tool. You can make so many designs with different color combinations, on so many surfaces, SO MANY times. It's definitely a great tool to add to your collection.
