Bruh, thanks a million. I'm starting to do silk screening as a business. Had reached out to a few people who were doing the same or similar. No help at all, either part of the info or no info. You take everybody step by step in the whole process. Mad respect for what you doing. I'm trying to figure how you separate the colors to put them on the stencils, and pricing. Like do you start at a base price, and then increase for each color? I'm wanting to turn this into a business. I have my own designs and have ordered shirts.

@@baavproductions Thanks, I've wanted to do this for quite some time. So tired of working for others. Without giving your exact price, what's a good base price, and how much to increase per color? Plus I'm still trying to figure exactly how you separate the designs for different colors? You have the most detailed instructions of how to do this type work. I'm already $5k in, and still need the flash and the conveyor dryer. All of this is out of my pocket.

Super happy to hear that🙌🏽 the screens do need to be reclaimed at the end of the job ti be reused for different designs. You don’t have to clean them out right away but generally after your done with them I set them aside to get cleaned

What if a job isn’t finished? Do you just card out the inks or take extra steps? What about the next morning when you go to resume a job? Sorry for all the questions man just wanted to add on to hers lmao I appreciate these videos they’re super helpful

If job isn’t finished I leave the ink on the screens and come back whenever. I’ve left ink on the screen for a week before. Plastisol ink you’ll be fine leaving on the screen but waterbased ink you have to ink off or else it dries

Hapoy to hear! For the second hit of white you can tell which shirt only has one print of white because it won’t be as bright. A trick is to just count down from 4 every time I print the white again to know

I always try to my best to clean up the shop weekly if not daily. To me it looks messy but I guess that’s what keeps me going to clean more and I love to find new ways to organize!

I like seeing full production. Pulling vs pushing, how do you determine which method you do?

Happy to hear it helps! Great question, with pulling you generally get less ghosting and with pushing your more likely to get ghosting. Pulling is the “right” way to screen print but manually can be taxing so pushing is a good option if you get a lot of pain in your wrists

Brother, you have such a sick setup, i just tried my first printing today and for some reason my white ink was not super white on the shirt as if i didnt press hard enough or something

I appreciate it man. Make sure you have good off contact and do a print flash print. Print the white first and make sure the ink clears the screen, flash it and print once again

I am new to screen printing. Have a 4 station 4 color printer, all in one copier, and printing supplies. How do you separate the different colors? I see you use different stencils for each color, but how do you get to that point is what I'm asking. Also, where can I get the vinyls you use?

@@baavproductions Hello. Really, so you don't actually do that part yourself? The rest of it I followed your instructions and it came out fine. But have had a couple requests for prints with multiple colors. Which doesn't surprise me, mostly all of the shorts I have bought myself have multiple color designs.

Does it matter that you are flashing the shirt twice? Once when you are printing the last color, and then once more when you are printing the first coat on the new shirt?

In this case it’s not too big of a issue cause I don’t usually let it sit under for too long. I also load the shirt so in the middle and then drag the platen over to print so it’s not under the flash the whole time

That’s called “color separation” your multi color design is separated so that each color is its own layer. Once each color is separated you take those film positives like I do in the video and individually expose onto each screen

@@brianpulido8404 Hi, if I can add anything as a general tip, it'd be 2 tighten ALL the controls really hard, but be prepared to wear out bolts + clamps now and then...lol peace!
