Thank you man! I was so unsure to try this at home with zero experience in this stuff but your guidance was absolutely amazing! 100% working, touch, camera, wifi! Also feels amazing to get stuff like this done on your own, thanks, made my day!
you missed one big trick. the sticky stuff that exposes the blue tag at the bottom. you wrap that around a screw driver or something and pull slowly, this removes all the adhesive from the bottom of the screen. It's also how your remove certain iPhone batteries
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and time. Your video help me to repeair a student's laptop. You made an excellent job, focusing on each detail of the process. Thanks again.
@@rickstechrepairs my thoughts exactly, I think it had a short flight across the room, so maybe something is loose. Works ok apart from that , will run more tests :)
I have the 530s-14ikb and I believe it's sort of the same procedure in terms. My question is : How do you go about buying the screen only? I cracked mine when trying to fix the brackets which will be now a silly and expensive mistake. Can you please show your ideias about buying these replacement parts? Thanks
Hey Rick, thanks for the video. I have a laptop that requires a replacement hinge. Is there anyway to remove screen without damaging it? It is a Yoga 520.
Hi, i just replaced one of these but after install , the new screen has no touch response, is there any difference in revision number or anything like that i should look for when ordering the spare part ? i tried with the original daughter-board and still no touch either. Any input greatly appreciated thanks
