@@Bianca_CDhis favorite color is purple. He said that in the making of Batman. Pretty sure that’s well known to 89 Batman fans. But it’s because he’s a big LA Lakers fan. That’s well known too.
"Now we don't have enough money to get to Aspen! We don't have enough money to get home! We don't have enough money to eat! We don't have enough money TO SLEEP!"
Absolutely love that scene in Dumb and Dumber and in the sequel He has a collection of rare birds and Loyd feeds pop rocks to them but nothing happens to his birds at the end a bird explodes from the pop rocks 😂
I remember being an excited 10 year old going to see this in the theatres. I remember that day like it was yesterday and this movie was so cool to 10 year old me and still to 45 year old me. lol
Same here. I can still smell the popcorn. Everything about that night is imbedded in my soul. Ppl smoking in the mall. I don’t believe you could smoke during the movie. But it’s crazy nowadays to think you could smoke in the mall in the 80s
great Video Chris....for the Ironhead restoration, I provided the Keaton body, the leg armor and the glove armor ...that suit is on display at WB in Burbank ..... the image you showed of the suit that was part of the Australia Exhibit is one ( of two ) of the last remaining screen used suits WB still owns, so it's 99.% all original ... the only replica pieces on that particular suit are the boot armor as the originals crumbled to dust and had to be replaced
I was at Warner Bros. Studio Hollywood this week. The Micheal Keaton cowl is on display there along with Linda Carters Wonder Woman costume, Christopher Reeves Superman costume and full Keaton Batman costume.
Whenever they restore the old Batman movie suits, I have in my mind playing the Antiques Roadshow saying it would have been worth more money in the original condition. I think it was a episode of Fraiser too.
This is why i wish places like propstore would photogrammetry /3d scan fragile and deteriorating items that come through for digital archiving and preservation. then offer screen used replicas.
The original 'hero' versions of the costumes are rarely seen in public. Not even during their own tour for public in LA. Mostly spare costumes or recreations. Warner is very strict when it comes to preserving them. Most of them are being kept under cold conditions.
I remember I was 19 when Batman came out and thinking "No way this Batman will ever compare to the 1966 TV Batman". Then, I went and watched Batman at the theater and was blown away! Still the best one to me by far (with the exception of TV's Batman)
If you ever get a chance to visit the Warner Bros Studio Tour in Burbank you can see the actual props of a few Batman films, including the 89 and Batman returns up close, but they don’t maintain them at all though
This video is so interesting!😃 Loved seeing these original pieces as well as the ones being restored. Back in 1996-1997 I got to see Yvonne Craig’s purple Batgirl gloves at the Planet Hollywood in Coconut Grove, Miami. They were very faded but it was so amazing seeing them.😃
Your just totally redeeming yourself! 😂 Anyways; I will be returning to do my Jack Nicholson cosplays next week and I'm very excited to debut doing his Joker. I've done his Jack Napier and Jack Torrance for many years but to tackle his Joker is going to be fun. I'll tag you on Instagram for photos to share with you 😊
I remember going to a Tim Burton exhibit 20 years ago and there were props from that movie on display. There were several Batman cowls and the Catwoman costume. They looked worn out and dull. Time has not been kind.
89 was the Jordan 6 and I am not even a sneaker guy. I just watched an interview with Michael Keaton and he talked about the those sneakers and said he still has them in their boot form in his house tucked away.
I never really liked the 1st 2 costumes used. I felt that the original wasnt...big enough framed, he was muscular, BUT in a Bruce lee kind of way too lean especially when you see him in the comics with the 2 ft wide shoulders, the 2nd costume is worse though it doesnt look like muscles only tab like pieces. come BAT MAN FOREVER he finally looks about right especially the prototype costume seen towards the end, BUT when we get to BAT MAN BEGINS he like the overall film, is near perfect, they managed to balance an armoured look with a convincing musculature (that time with a completly new design team) as with say... the ROBOCOP remake if the costume doesnt look right neither will the film.
