On CinemaWins, he made a statement I think is very valid. Bob is not upset that his wife is out there saving the day, he's upset that he's not out there with her. He's glad Elastagirl is having a good time, he just wants to be doing superhero work as well and is frustrated that he can't.

Consider yourself lucky you had to wait only a few days to see the sequel, because us OG had to wait 14 years to see the Underminer

I still remember when I saw Elastigirl's new suit, all I could think was "Edna's not gonna like this."

I am most impressed by the Raccoon. He must be the Raccoon version of Batman, holding his own against all that.

Funfact this movie was nearly banned from theaters due to it blinding people with sensitive eyes and gave a few seizures.

When I saw this in theaters they had a little pre-movie roll from the voice actors talking about the gap, they ended it saying something like "trust us it's worth the wait" and a little girl somewhere in the theater stage whispered "it better be". She had the whole theater laughing before the movie even started.

I love the connection with the kids and their names: Violet has ultra violet powers, Dash- well that's obvious, and Jack Jack as a jack of all trades! I know someone else pointed this out earlier but it's just clever. :)

Evelyn Deavor being the villain is hinted at in 2 ways. The first is that the black and white checker patterns she wears are similar to the images she uses as the Screenslaver to hypnotize and brainwash her victims. And secondly, her name Evelyn Deavor sounds very similar to "evil endeavor"

the womans' name is "Evelyn Deavor"- literally "EVIL ENDEAVOR." not exactly subtle...

Jack Jack is the Jack of all trades since he's a baby, they don't know what powers he'll end up keeping

The name “The Screenslaver” is probably the most clever villain name I’ve ever seen For those who don’t get it, it’s a mix of screensaver and slaver, since he enslaves people with screens

Jack jack: "has many powers/quirks xd" All might and deku: don't tell me.....All for one!!

The start of the film is a reference to the Jack Jack short, when they explain what happend with the babysitter.

If you've never seen it, i highly recommend the movie Megamind, its so underrated honestly

Jack Jack may be my favorite character in this film! He had the best scenes in my opinion, from the raccoon fight to him being taken Edna.

Can I just say that, as someone who saw the original Incredibles in theaters, when this was announced, I literally cheered. It had been so long and it so needed a sequel.

If you think about the train incident in this and the last film, it must feel like a stab in the gut to Bob that his actions to stop a train crash led to gradual illegality of Supers, while Helen's mission helper relaunch them, and each incident the opposite as Bob couldn't prevent casualties and Helen did so after so long of him living with that mistake.

You're so lucky you didn't have to wait so long for the sequel. I still can't believe I saw the first movie when I was 4 and the second one when I was 18...

So just putting it out there. Evelyn Deavor, Evil Endeavour. It was in her name the entire time. Love these details Pixar puts into their movies

Great reaction! Fun fact: the theme songs were written day they were due because the guy was busy composing other stuff and were used as written that morning! Lol! Also: Evelyn Deavor? Evil Endeavor? Can I recommend that you watch Ghibli’s Princess Mononoke or Cartoon Saloon’s Wolfwalkers???? They’re both really really amazing films, they’re some of my favorites of all time!!!

Jack Jack is just the best, so precious and so so powerful lol. Love him so much in this movie, especially when he bonds with Edna, the other amazing character.

Not sure if you noticed, but her name is Evelyn Deavor (Evil Endeavor). Little easter egg. Also, every scene she's in, her brother is in the light and she is standing back in the darkness.

The incredibles was my favorite animated movie growing up and til this day. My best friend and I would watch it and Matilda when we were in high school at every chance we got. When the 2nd one came out we knew we were going to watch it together at the movie theater as two 20 year old young adults. When we arrived the movie theater was packed and there was a total of 4 kids in those seats 😂🤣😂🤣 at one point one of the kids wanted to make noise and try and run down the isle and was met with a whole bunch of adults going “SHHHHHHHHHHHH” 🤣🤣🤣 after all these years, the sequel was perfect and didn’t disappoint

I like how the villains in the incredibles motives are at least somewhat understandable. Syndrome looked up to Bob but he dismissed him and made him feel unimportant so he created a robot to defeat so he'd become everyone's new hero and also give everyone super powers so no one would be special or above anyone anymore. And Evelyn wanted to make sure heros stayed illegal because everyone was too dependant on them, including her father, resulting in both her parents deaths. Their plans are flawed and driven by hate but they're also morally grey.

I love how Jack Jack could potentially be the most powerful being in the universe.

I loved the first Incredibles and I remember complaining to friends when there hadn’t been a sequel or anything related to it while Disney-Pixar kept making sequels to other films. So when I read the announcement of Incredibles 2, I was sooo excited for this film! And it did NOT disappoint at all! I love it! I can watch both of these films over and over (along with Kung Fu Panda films) and am never bored watching them. I hope they make an Incredibles 3, but realize that the probability of them doing so is low considering how long it took to even get a second one. I feel like there’s lots of interesting stories just waiting to be told with these characters, if they ever decide to again.

This movie had one problem and problem only. The villain. You never saw Syndrome coming until he was right in front of you. And you immediately understood what happened. You see Evelyn Endeavor a MILE away. Which is fine in of itself if she has the right motivation. But they didn’t do the killing of the parents right to pull it off. Had the father been shot trying to fight the robbers because he loved watching supers, THAT would’ve been amazing for motivation. That would’ve let her narrative of supers making us weak actually make sense. Because the father chose to fight because he thought he was like a super due to how close he was to them. That would’ve blown me away because there are people brave/stupid enough to think they can fight under those conditions. And they try that kind of thing because we see people like that ALL the time in media. And that would make the stay away from screens so much more brilliant. It didn’t work the best but I still give this a solid 9/10. Everything else was freaking spot on. Hope there’s a 3rd. This series has a lot of potential.

So glad I saw this in theaters. Worth. The. Wait.

Man disney and pixar has had such a huge issue with obvious twist villains for years. When I saw the trailers I assumed that the businessman was gonna be the villain, but then watching the movie as soon as i saw his sister i thought "okay, shes the villain"

What a great plot for The Incredibles movies from the first and second. My favorite part is Jack-Jack powers. He can do anything he wants

You can't imagine how excited I was when the final date for the second one was announced and when the trailer came out and everything 😆 I was 10 when I watched the first one and twenty-effing-three when I went to cinema to watch this one 😂 The second one got more scary and a bit more adulty I felt like. My sister and me were sqeezing eachothers hands at one point during this movie because it was so intense for us 😂

5:46 this was litterly my dad every damn time he tried helping me with math home work. And he always freaked out yelling "why did they change math!? How does this make sense!? How did you fail this test, the answer is right!?!?" so he actully went to The school to complain about that they changed math 😂 my mom forbid him to help me with math home work later since he got so mad and confused we tought he might get a heartattack or brain bleed 😂

You gotta watch the minions movie at some point as well!

"I'm just the genius behind the genius" is a big clue to Evelyn's (don't blame me if I spelled it incorrectly) secret identity which reveals she is the one behind the mask and the villainous schemes

This is LITERALLY the best pixar movie!

I feel like you've watched every Pixar movie except their actual best one which is WALL-E.

The screenslaver really got me on edge and so I wore my blanket to not be scared

Me(very fascinated by the medical field at 20 years old) looked up hypoxia out of curiosity after and realized that they almost lost a wife and mom. I plan to write a fan fiction where she didn’t survive the hypoxia.

while I liked this movie it had a major flaw: the timeline, which made one of the best parts of the movie make no sense. So we know from the first movie the Sydrome stuff happens, and then 3 months pass and that's when Underminer occurs. Now, we know that Jack-Jack's powers had manifested already, so how did 3 months pass without them becoming aware of those powers? You could argue oh he only used them when Helen wasn't there, but during that whole 3 month period there was never an instance of her running out to get groceries and leaving them to keep an eye on the baby? Besides, they had panicked phone messages from Kari and you're implying they never followed up on that? Even if, for arguments sake, agent Dicker got to her before they did he wouldn't have passed along that their baby had manifested a number of powers? Or they would have gone to her after Dicker and been like Kari what was with those messages, and then realized that he brain zapped her when she said she had no idea what they were talking about. Here's how it should have gone: some time after Syndrome but before Underminer they get approached by the Devers, about getting supers legal again. Bob is like Helen, honey, you should be the one to do it, for our kids futures. Bob says he want's to be there with his kids, being the dad (following his growth and development in the first movie) so then the movie can still show him struggling as he does in this version, with it being harder than he expected, with a powers baby, an energetic boy, and a teenager. But this would allow Bob and Helen to have a better dynamic than we saw in this movie. Have them communicating about how hard it is doing each of their roles but wanting to make it work for one another. Violet then could have a sub plot about her new confidence and power training. Change from being timid and anxious doesn't generally happen overnight, so show her working on building that confidence. Training with her shields so she can do that shield wave thing at the start of this movie to protect those people from falling rubble For Helen she's doing hero stuff (maybe with a better version of Screenslaver since they didn't do anything with the character/concept), teaming up with the heros, etc finale climax of the movie is the Underminer. The Incredibles family, plus Frozone and the other supers, work together to take him down and protect the city. Then maybe it ends with the signing of the new legislation allowing supers to be legal again. Boom, you've got a movie with a Jack-Jack timeline that actually works and makes sense

I heard Brad Bird had just forgotten how many years had pasted between the 1st movie as he was working on other projects so the sequel could have been much sooner.

I like that with this movie and coco Disney leaned really hard into selling the "obvious plot" to pull the rug from under us

I think the most interesting hint that Evelyn is the villain is her name is Evelyn Deavor which is play on the name Evil Endeavor. But mostly the backstory was always strange to me was that the phone that dad used wasn't in the safe room. Like if he calls supers because there is a burglar would he have ran to wait for them? Just thoughts in my head. But other than that still a fun movie with great animation!

The hypno effects were originally much more intense when the film was first released in theaters, but they had to change it in fear of potential seizure hazards. Nobody was effected by it as far as I know, but they wanted to be extra careful.

Her name too is Evelyn Devor... u could also pronounce that EVIL ENDEAVOR. The fact that she’s a villain is in her name lol something tells me someone mentioned that already tho 😭

Jackjack got multiple powers with no control of them

The kids powers are represented by their names, like violet deals with ultraviolet rays, dash is fast, and jack jack is a jack of all trades! I love all of your videos, it blows my mind that you didn’t watch these movies growing up!

My thing is : I waited 10+ years to watch what happened to the Underminer and they gave him like 10 minutes of screen time AND HE GOT AWAY so I never get to see him get his ass beat😭

I find his intro strangely satisfying. The bit with the two lights coming together. I can't help but watch. I must be weird....

Actually their superpowers have to do with the perspective on the roles they have. The dad's are perceives to be strong, so Bob has super strength. Mum's are viewed to be stretched and pulled here and there so Helen is elastic. Teenage girls tend to feel invisible, so Violet turns invisible. Boys seem to have limitless energy, so Dash is super fast. And babies have potential, so Jackjack can do quite a bit. Also, the kids' powers are a play on their names. Violet has force fields. A play on ultra violet. Dash runs fast. And Jackjack is the jack of all trades.
