Every song there is always something that gives me the chills and relates to the bone. “I just want my bro to be sober, i just want my momma to be, i just want my mom to be fine” as somone who’s brother has been addicted to substances for 17 years, my mother who passed 2 years finally got clean in 2016 and i was able to give her all i could until she passed. I was able to get her a car and her first place to live independently. Working two jobs and still putting my self through school. I still have hope for my brother, his kids 13,11 spend weekends with me. I am the closest thing to their dad. Thankfully their mom left him years ago and has been clean almost 7 years. Scrims music is empowering and I share with my brother in hopes he can dig deep enough to one day get sober. Not even ghost are this empty, Scrim says “snort a line with my mom, i just be hoping to vibe” my mother got my bother hooked on white when he was 15. I was 5 at the time and thankfully during the worst parts of their addiction I was either taken away or too young to be given. I hope to continue to show my brother and his kids they do not have to stay down that path.
