The War of the World's radio drama caused panic more than once. It happened again in Chile in 1938 and Ecuador in 1949 resulting in 10 deaths. Behold the power of trusted media - and a clever author.
Amazing! So glad it’s helpful 😃 I used this with Grade 7 and they came up with some great ideas! Creating SFX will be coming soon - don’t hesitate to ask if you have any questions!
Started in elementary school reading orsen wells war of the worlds and listening to it in class. Decades later i come across Welcome to Nightvale. From there alice isnt dead. Then We're Alive a story of survival. Now im fighting my unmedicated adhd to make my own.
Hey Jennie! Thanks so much for tuning into the channel and I’m super pleased you’re finding them useful. The next lesson is on the way! 😃 The first two videos should give you enough material to get started for a least 3 lessons, getting to the point of developing the script. But if it helps with your planning, here’s a breakdown of where I go next in the scheme. The third video in the series focuses on the sound effects, having fun creating them and recording them on a phone or other device. The forth session will look at voice acting and recording the character dialogue in the script. And finally the fifth video will demo editing it together ready for it to be ‘aired’ as the final performance. I hope that helps and thanks for your patience as I put these together. Of course, please feel free to adapt any of to suit your needs :-)
@@DramaDan Brilliant! Sounds great. I've been looking for something like this, and you present the whole thing so well. I can just do an introduction for my classes and then hand over to you. Should be a winner. Thanks so much for uploading.
Absolutely. I’ll be uploading the remaining Radio videos soon, but I’m passionate about keeping the quality high in the planning, filming and editing, and this just takes a bit of time to put together. I’m currently making video schemes for several year groups and building on these slowly over time. So they are on the way :-) Thanks for your patience and support. It’s great to have you on board with the channel and hope your classes have enjoyed them so far this term! Dan
You're welcome, glad you've found it helpful! Try this...hopefully that will work for you! www.dropbox.com/s/35lfrztg59te7m2/Radio%20Drama%20Stimulus%20Images%20.pdf?dl=0
Great that you’ve been directed here. The tasks in this video are all pretty clear if you follow it step by step. But worth double checking with your teacher, in case they’ve adapted any of the tasks. Enjoy radio drama!!
It actually helped me alot i honestly dont know how to radio broadcast but now im addicted to it😂😂 and the i actually finished our script while listening to one of ur videos
Hi Dan. I'm working on a romance script that involves an autistic character. I was hoping to find a platform for being able to manifest the script on RU-vid, without it getting stolen, if possible. How do I upload an audio file onto RU-vid? What do I need for that?
Hi Samuel, Good question. Whilst it’s just an audio file you’re wanting to upload RU-vid is a video platform. It’s still possible, but you’ll need to add a basic image / or video title to sit over the audio so you can upload it. In terms of copyright etc, you can upload as either a private or unlisted video, meaning that only people you choose to share it with will have access. Does that help?
@@DramaDan Yes, it does. Just a bit more info I need. See, I'm trying to audition my audio script on RU-vid, so that one day people may perform it with me, maybe even make it a live action play or perhaps a movie someday. That's the intention. Is that possible on RU-vid? Would it be possible to post any links to me of anyone who can help me achieve that? I know they do video meetings on RU-vid, like Zoom and other stuff. But people don't troll others on video meetings, do they? Let me know. And thank you for the information.
So, all the accompanying hand wiggles, see-sawing voice etc is … showing .. or .. telling. No, no, that wasn’t a question (The Devil Wears Prada). Sadly, going outside might be an idea for you.
