I think that you forget that natural man ALWAYS gives up on Jesus The Christ, God is very clears that he even runs away from Him. Now, those that do not "give up" (to use your words) or are with Him, are kept in Him and with Him, because He by His Eternal Power and Decree from before the foundation of the world, decided that He would keep them with Him, and not because they do anything out of their own power, to stay with their God. Let's not forget that: "NO MAN CAN COME TO ME, EXCEPT THE FATHER WHICH HATH SENT ME DRAW HIM: AND I WILL RAISE HIM UP AT THE LAST DAY." And... "GOD LOOKED DOWN FROM HEAVEN UPON THE CHILDREN OF MEN, TO SEE IF THERE WERE ANY THAT DID UNDERSTAND, THAT DID SEEK GOD. EVERY ONE OF THEM IS GONE BACK: THEY ARE ALTOGETHER BECOME FILTHY; THERE IS NONE THAT DOETH GOOD (and to do good is to obey God, to follow His precepts), NO, NOT ONE."

Wonderful lesson. He addressed a crucial struggle among Christians today: which verses are biblical principles and which are cultural practices? An understanding of the whole of Scripture is necessary for discernment.

There is problem between the Scripture and this Culture. Applying it to our culture. Wish we could all hear Pastor Sproul now. The Scripture applys to all the centuries to present. I remember another sermon - the culture must not dictate to or change the Word of God. The Scripture reflects to understand the laws of God no matter where you are or who you are. Find the guidelines study is key to this significant problem in any century. The Pastor never leaves us lacking. Amen Next session.

This sermon would've been more apt if it taught, how scripture and local cultures can clash and how to stand in faith and overcome some problems in cultural aspects.

"For to everyone who has, more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but from the one who does not have, even what he does have shall be taken away." Matthew 25, The Parable of the Talents. As Dr Sproul has explained, the cursing of the fig tree, as well as this. Perhaps then the Lord is ultimately using these as similes about the person who is eternally condemned: what the lost have in this life are blessings God gives to all, yet they are not saved and in the end have their part in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone. In other words, what they do not have is the Holy Spirit, and even what they do have in this life, worldly blessings, will be taken away from them forever when they are cast into hell.

My question is women to preach or to be a pastor is principal or is custom??

Principle. In the time of Paul addressing that, it was commonplace for women to be in authority in the secular context. Paul says it won’t be in the church. Men and women are designed perfectly by God and equal but they are made for different things. There are distinctions laid out in scripture for that
