This mode is so simple, and easy, and straight forward... but MAN is it satisfying and fun! Just the notion of the survivors splitting into two team to face off against each other is awesome!
I believe it's just a simple and strange change of pace. You spent the last two games trying to convince everyone to your side all by yourself, and then in this game you see your fellow classmates helping you prove them otherwise.

Albeit the easiest sequence in Class Trials, ever since they introduced Perjury and Consent to non-stop debates. Still an awesome theme, doe. Especially that kick right at the start. Wew.
Every time Monokuma popped up when there was a split opinion and it shows the cutscene with podiums elevating, I got so excited. Even if I was losing the music still kept me in a good mood. Das sum gud shit.

People who prefer that liquid sweet, acerbic touch.... on their pizza apparently. Which, to my surprise, constitutes not just a few people. In fact, it became the Monthly favorite a few times (at my place). I dunno the reasoning behind it but, hey, power to them.
Not gonna lie, my favorite minigame in the entire franchise. Yeah there's not enough of them, but goddamn they FINALLY nailed what a CLASS trial should feel like! The teamwork, the debates, AND THE FUCKING MUSIC OH MY GOD
Completely agree. I am new to the franchise and recently completed one and two. There was so much wrong gameplay wise with 2 but 3 has more than made up for it. This mechanic though....I absolutely adored. If they make a 4th this better make a return and not screw it up with needless additions.
I just wish that scrum debates were longer and more difficult. The game doesn't let you bask in the satisfaction of the collision of the split opinions and an all-out debate between two sides.

The only moment in chap 6 that could have one DS was "Is Tsumugi the mastermind?", but for that happen we needed each kub to have one speach to make up the numbers for it. Not a bad idea.
Not sure if I'm in a class trail or a dance club... unless the trial room is practically a night club, which means the one of the musicians are the culprit
Imagine that, having to do a debate but everyone is just dancing to this and not debating in the game and Monokuma just gets mad because "This class trail is not interesting enough!"

Yeah, I'm glad it didn't end with everybody dying... I personally really like the ending though; I also like the twist during the climax (I'm glad it's not actually Junko _again_ and just Tsumugi being nuts). Also, Tsumugi jumped like 9 stages up among my favorite character during the last 4 hours of the game.
You could say the same thing before we know Tsumugi is the mastermind to replace the first rebuttal showdown... Is Tsumugi really the mastermind? No: Monokuma, Monokubs and Tsumugi Yes: Everyone else. If we included the AA Scrum Debate, this would be the first trail to have 2 scrum Debates.

I'm really not sure how well DRV3 sat with me, but the scrum debate was probably my favourite new game mechanic. I hope they keep it in future games in the series (If there are any)

Right side is the side the player is on and the left side is the the wrong side. Mikan would have to be on your side to talk about Mahiru instantly dieing opposed to Akane who says that she died instantly. You would be right about Kazuichi.
I hope this helps people Scrum means an ordered form of players, normally in a game. They are put close together locking arms and heads down, pushing the other side. That sort of is the scrum debate, the 2 sides fighting over the idea. If it was football I guess it would be the ball. Hope this helped!

Something I noticed when looking through the bonus artwirk for Danganronpa V3 is the fact that some of the characters only have artwork facing one direction.
Honestly surprised this one isn't in another top comment with like a bazillion responses because the ending to drv3 is the most split thing in this fandom. That being said...
