God bless you sunand. Your channel is full of knowledge. I survived scrum master role and bagged many offer letters by watching your videos and assimilating the content. Thank you so much
I had very limited knowledge about scrum, roles and events. Now I am very much confident about my understanding. Thank you all for sharing precious knowledge ❤ - Sameer Thorat (UBS)
I have been looking for job as a Scrum Master, after watching this I am confidently say that in 1 Monty I will definitely get the job, as it's a Scenario based question also. You really provide very good vedios. Thank you for updating this one. I wish to get in touch with you once I will clear the interview..
Thank you so much to Career Talk and all the team members for putting all the efforts together in this video. You all have provided the real time training. This is really so insightful and aspiring for us.
Hats off to you guys. This is a wonderful initiative. I think this is the first of the kind in youtube. You people have invested so much of your precious time. You did a wonderful job. I have never seen a demo project with scenarios like this which covers not only the ceremonies but also the role played by the SM, PO and the scrum team. It also gives the knowledge on JIRA tool as well. I feel extremely satisfied after watching this session. I already know theoritically about the agile methodologies and SCRUM. But this was a wonderful practical learning for me. Keep continuing your work guys. You are rocking. Expecting a similar kind of demo projects. I wish your team all the very best.
Thanks for opening your heart and sharing honest thoughts. Even 2 days training won't give you that kind of learning which this free course give. It will be great if you share this course link on LinkedIn and share this with other colleagues. Tag #careerstalk, thanks again. Keep watching.
Most valuable and informative video on Scrum process available on RU-vid. Really appreciate Sunand and entire team for making this detailed video. This has given an actual insight on the actual working and Scrum ceremonies.
Wow! this is by far the most elaborate, practical and relevant video I have ever come across on Scrum Master. I would like to thank all the people who shared their experiences without hesitation and demonstrated how things are actually done in real time. I don't know if they realize, but they just have created a MASTERPIECE, which will help and guide aspiring Scrum Masters in their journey. Thank you Career Talk for putting this together. Much Appreciate your effort! 👍
Thanks a lot for this Channel. I must say it a huge resource and it helped me to land a scrum Master role in a big company. I recommend everyone to subscribe.
This channel is full of knowledge to any scrum master aspiring to grow and lead teams successfully. I appreciate all the effort in creating these videos. Thank you so much Sunand and Team!!!
This is really such a great and useful for anyone who would start scrum master as their aspiring new role .Thanks to all the participants who have shared their detailed knowledge and experience. It is very much useful for me personally. You initiated and brought up such brilliant and unique video .it is amazing. Thank you is not enough .
Really god bless you sir...in every interview I think myself try to say answer to the question but behind that for every answer need to be explain to the interviewer leads us to get a job.that all the stuff I learned in this video...👏👏👏👏
Instructive video and I don't think I've seen such an extensive/detailed video of all ceremonies in one video. Point for improvement in my opinion is: 1. the sound (not everyone can be heard clearly); 2. who plays what role in each ceremony. During the Sprint-Review, an overview emerged which was useful to have the whole picture clear Hopefully there will be updates on this extensive video (in 1 video or individual videos per ceremony (which makes it easier to watch I think))
Superb Way of Explaining... Awesome...A Non IT person can also understand on a very ease as its so practical on to the ground .. how things meetup at actual working place.. Kudoz to the team...Luv you guyz
Should PO tell about the product vision and give general info about it every sprint demo? Who should present user stories during the sprint review: tech lead or each sprint it's done by another teammate? What soft is used in 2:03:03? I think it's good to have general sprint review for all teams in a project. What about retro in the case when one SM for several teams?
1- it depends on team to team, how complex is product, as team are we clear where we are heading and why we are doing. 2- again no fix patterns, ideally this should be change in every sprint review, encourage team members to come forward and present there own work .3- retrospect session normally are unique to each team, but if you feel there are lots of dependencies issues with other team ,have kind of sync ,connect with other team as well. Again there is no fix . Also remember there is 'retrospect of retrospective '
Its amazing and hard work from all of you. I also wanted to request that can we also have videos on real time examples and experience using STAR approach(Situation /Task/Approach/Result). It would be great!! Thanks a lot for bringing out this video .Helped a lot
Hi Sunanad, ur channel is really Alibaba's cave for scrum master material.. can you plz make more videos in how to bag job offer after a gap for new scrum master? Specifically in India? I am finding it difficult as everywhere they are asking for at least 2-3 yrs experience. Thankq!!
Sindhuja shared here whole story how she lost job and done to get it in just couple of weeks. Very informative session. Please do watach along with one more videos 5 ways to get your first SM job you won't believe. Browse previous videos
@@CareersTalk yes, Sindhuja is indeed an inspiration.. because of her video only, I decided to try for job again. Plz extend my thanks to her as well. And Sunanad, thank you so much for reply and the pointer to the another video. I can't tell, how grateful I am !
thanks Sunand & team for the wonderful video, I have a question for u, after watching and understanding this video do you think one can gain practical knowledge as to how one can go about working as a scrum master?? I appreciate your efforts because till date i have not come across any such tutorial that teaches all this. i am waiting for ur reply👍
Yes, definitely. At least 60 to 70% actual knowledge you can get from this simulation. This is the best live simulation scrum master course available on the earth for the time being 😀
great course! thank you! I have a questions: at 25 min is scrum planning discussed. There are items that need to be done and discussed before the sprint planning. How do you call that pre-planning meeting and when do you have time for it? As i understand that the team goes from the sprint retrospective straight to the planning meeting?
It is very good video and covered all scrum ceremonies but u didn't explain any report/ chart part in this video like burn up and burn down chart and what is the difference between these charts.. do you have any video related to that ?
question about spikes. When developers should make research (spike)? During the current sprint when they are working on backlog refinement or next one?
Hello sir, I am Pune based mechanical engineer having exp. Of 8 yrs in automotive industry into R&D design coordinator .I took 6 yrs of career break due to personal reasons . Now I want to kick start my second innings in project management and I found it more interesting .plz suggest me if csm would be good enough to start with ? Does MNCs will consider non IT professionals for this role? Waiting for your reply thanks
You can do psm 1 , but remember too much competition in market. certification may help in getting call but nothing beyond. Buy one good book.list Is already there . Eat it( no read) until you have strong foundation you will not able survive foe long
Hello, Could you please help me with below query : 1. Can we estimate Spike/Dependence stories? 2. Can team log there hours or create a subtask when story point is 0?
Very nice video. The Role Plays were very much useful. But i have some doubts: 1. How is product backlog refinement different from sprint planning/grooming? Because in both PO was explaining the story and team was estimating the story. 2. Do you have any role play video on product backlog prioritization technique as well? How will the PO know which stories to pick up for a particular sprint? If not, do you plan to create a video on it?
To answer your questions, product backlog refinement is a mid sprint meeting where PO, SM, and few developers and functional team members can get together to groom the stories in the backlog, this may be adding more description, acceptance criteria, or tasks, story points, prioritisation. Sprint planning involves entire team, and PO and it’s more about prioritising, assigning the stories depending on capacity and confirming the values added during refinement. Hope this helps
Hi Shouvik, In the "After the sprint planning" slide it's mentioned that "Scrum master circulates the Userstories and Tasks taken up for that sprint"- can you elaborate on ways of circulating (I was asked this question in an interview)?
Hi, please help to understand, if the scrum master faces any technical impediments so how the rest of the team members can help him or if SM should discuss it with PO or Stakeholders. Other team members may have more work to do or less technical understanding as required to be fixed issues.
Hi Team, Great video ! Could you please help me with capacity calculation,Iam unable to understand the relationship between story points and hours in sprint planning event. Being a newbie could you please elaborate to me or provide link for the related articles so i can go and check. Thanks in advance
Thank so much for the video, it's really very helpful, sir i wanted to know I have done diploma and I m doing BCA degree as well, but I have 6 year of experience, will I be eligible for this job as still degree is not yet completed,I m still persuing, please suggest me on this..
Hi sir i have 10 yr exp on testing and i have career break for 4 yrs i want to join back has scrum master pls tell me where should I start and how can I get job in scrum.need u r feedback.where i can learn scrum and will you help us for job
Career break doesn't matter. Create good resume , apply to as many job as possible. Daily update your profile on job website (Daily). Ask for help on LinkedIn, do good preparation because opportunities knock once.do basic certification like psm 1
@careerTalk I am confused who the PO and scrum master is in the planning meeting .I initially thought Anit was the PO .Can you help clarify roles who facilitates the sprint planning .Can you do a video on how to use the planning poker ?Thanks
Hi All. In planning proker for a US a dev + tester need to work .. So for Dev suppose the estimate is 5 Story point and for Test it is 3 then combining the effort the Story point comes as 8 . But in planning porker we give the estimation as individual. I know at later part of slide this is called dev + tester as antipattern but in reality it always effort of Dev + Tester to complete a US . Kindly help me understand that in planning pker how can we combine dev + tester effort to come up withh Story points as combined
Are the participants(who played role of developers/BA) in the role play real developers/BA or they are scrum master aspirants, undergoing scrum master training?
Hi, currently I'm working as a software developer but I want to change my domain from developer to scrum master. for this, I need some training/guidance. can you please share your contact details if possible? I'll connect with you offline. Thanks
