I used a Kutzall Extreme coarse disk. It's pretty intimidating to start with but is surprisingly controllable once you get used to it. Thanks for watching and commenting! Jeff

It's a Kutzall carving disk. They come in a few levels of aggressiveness, this is the Extreme coarse disk. It's a bit intimidating at first, but cuts quick and surprisingly clean. Good luck and be careful. Thanks for watching and commenting!

It's a Kutzall carving disc on an angle grinder. An amazing tool for both its aggressiveness as well as potential control with some practice but very scary to start. Best of luck with your new found hobby! :)

You can buy the templates I used here: www.canadianwoodworks.com/collections/templates/products/contemporary-armless-stool-templates The plans allow for you to build standard table height or bar height which is what I built here. I believe the seat height is at 30 inches for sitting at a 36 inch bar. Please let me know if you'd like me to measure and be sure, and/or what other dimensions you'd like.
