Another great educational video, thank you! I’m an American of Scottish descent, with a Scottish maiden name (Johnston) and my DNA says I come from the Orkneys. I have had many nail techs as my baud and was military and we moved a lot. Every single one caused bleeding once or more times because of how thin my skin is around my nails. Also, the reason I wear extensions is because of how thin, flexible and weak my natural nails are. My last nail tech said I was the thinnest skinned customer (very busy salon) she has ever had. She wasn’t kidding me about my attitude either, as I never complained and had sent her clients. She said she always had to use the gentlest bits and very fine grit files because of my very fine skin and nail plate. She did great work! I do wish American nail schools would instruct students on recognizing thin skin and nails, and to change out their tools accordingly. They only teach on what is required to pass licensing exam however.

I’ve always had acrylic nails,, I think I might try gel 👍
