Beautiful sculpture! I'm fairly new to sculpting and didn't realize you can use masking tape on the aluminum foil filler. That's going to help a lot!

bravo pour le projet, pour l'expo ,pour l'interview et merci pour cette vidéo des "dessous" de réalisation cette réalisation est particulièrement dingue dès le départ j'ai été scotchée par la modélisation de la forme puis la mise en "peau"!! les ailes (super papier) et la dispo finale , ta touche perso avec le casque juste un chef d'oeuvre et je le pense d'ailleurs ils seront d'accords avec moi ! bravo

le papier s'appelle "modelspan", il se trouve dans des magasins de modélisme :)

I'm using Modena right now, however I want to try more local brands of cold porcelain. For what I need it for (just be flexible and air-dry) I'm sure other brands will do fine as well.

Hi Stephanie hope you are well ...By Modelspan ...do you mean tissue paper ? And I'm wondering what weight of paper is the best to experiment with ? Many thanks xx

it's not tissue paper, it's closer to mulberry or kozo paper. Basically the thin qualities of tissue paper but much stronger, even when wet. It just doesn't tear easily. Modelspan paper is 23gsm, it's paper used by model makers (hence the name)

I'm using la doll air dry clay at present - most of the time I can get it to do what I what but it still cracks if I'm sculpting on small pieces ..oh well the search continues! Xx

does anyone know where to buy modelspan in the U.S? I've check model store, hoddy stores, and art stores, no one has it. I've only found it online in overseas stores

Look for mulberry or kozo paper. Better yet, go into a paper shop and ask for something similar. Maybe even a model making shop. Modelspan is just a brand, there are plenty other papers out there.

To make it very short, tax avoidance, poor conditions for workers, unfair competition. Generally speaking, I believe it's best to support small, independent and local shops as well, but that's more up to debate. You can online search "why boycott amazon" and you'll find plenty of reasons.

j'ai une idée pour une création que tu pourrais faire : ce serai une chaise avec plein de corail en polymer clay que tu fait souvent sur tes dessin et tes sculptures j'ai eu cet idée en faisant un travaille d'art plastique et ça m'a tout de suite fait penser a toi voilà tu fait ce que tu veux mais c juste une idée pour ta chaine ou pour instagrame ps super vidéo , j'adore
