SCULPTURE with HOT GLUE - Does it WORK??? 

So many comments imply there's something DIRTY or GROSS about the thumbnail. What's dirty about hot GLUE? That glorious white sticky gloopy probably slightly salty GLUE? I mean granted the texture is frustrating, but as you can see in the video, you can work past that and use it for all sorts of practice and even artistic purposes! #AllGlueIsBeautiful #NoInnuendo #JustGlue

Having sculpted with hot glue in the early 1980s I learned many things. It is analog 3D printing and can be cast in bronze in a process similar to lost wax casting, "lost hot glue" process. Also there are a lot of opportunities to create modules to build forms.

It is so amazing to watch Jazza creating artwork which is on the concept of what material he uses. For example, comparing markers, why not make twins who have different backgrounds. It corresponds to what the video is indicating. Great ideas at work!

Ive sculpt with it before too, i made an bird and it really worked out nice. I also used 2 layes of plexiglass and i put hot glue in between them to get like thin sheets of glue and i cut them into feathers. Really like you work! It is a nice artpiece!

You can also brush mica otr powder food coloring in silicon molds and then fill the molds with hot glue. The glue picks up the mica nicely and the glue demolds super easy!

I have this as my college project during online classes and this was a pain in the ass to do

You can actually get a more even texture to the glue, if you rub a flat object over it while it's still molten hot. Something like a credit card could work. It's a technique hobbyists in the Ball Jointed Doll community use when they're creating rubbery hot glue grippers between the joints of their dolls to help with posability. You put a little glue and the quickly rub it down so the joints still sit flush with each other. Combined with cutting and trimming the excess bits off like you did while you were dabbling, you could concievably get something pretty intricate. It'd just take a looooot of practice. Your little glue guy turned out pretty awesome, either way! :V I like the effect of the drippies hanging off of him, and the little hands were SO GOOD!

I'd love to see an epic glue sculpture made of any kind of glue- like you could mold it with gluesticks, you could build base structures with gluesticks, you could use dried PVA glue sheets for fabric... lots of potential

Love the glue man! I've used hot glue to fix yard ornaments. There were chunks broken off and I had to "string" the holes and slowly fill them in. Then had to "build" it back up to look normal. Everything I've fixed so far looks like new. -expert tip: use a glue gun with a longer tip. You can then smooth it out. (very carefully) Things like knives, toothpicks and tweezers are helpful as well.

I used to make mini sculptures of the pokemon eevelutions with the hot glue guns. It hurt, but I got used to the heat. I usually waited till they are a bit colder yet not too cold to the point that it's solid. Got a lot of burns, but the sculptures were cute. I was a wierd yet creative kid, but all but one of the sculptures are gone now. One was kept in an old snow globe made by my mom and dad :D (It was the Leafeon one) yep, I molded it as if it was clay. Not like how Jazza did it XD
