Very useful bits of information. Thanks for doing those tests! A note for any dev member reading - this kind of info should come with patch notes. You should be able to auto-generate it from your test automation suite.
Thanks for all the info Luthais. Also, I must point out that the small fire(according to my solo experience) doesn't despawn, but the stone ring fire does. As you said, it's not a big problem, we can always craft new fires, but it's a little boring or tiresome to do so in every single time you open the game. I hope they fix the fires and/or the other despawning things.
The best item change I'd like to see is decay rates for all items. Medications, firearm accessories such as mags, and tools should last a long time when not used and also decay at slower rate when used by a player. Not everything should seem like it's made in China. Items like meat and dairy have the correct decay rate already, imo. Items like produce and dry food should be decreased, at least slightly, unless wet.
They really need to have this information in the examine window for every item. There is nothing more annoying than placing something down that logic tells you should not despawn, particularly when placed down in the radius of a flag and then logging in again to find you have to replace something that vanished. Especially early game when you have limited storage capacity and you don't have the ability to be putting things with massive inventory footprints like grill grates into storage unless you're actively using them.
Thank you for the video; I could have sworn that the camp fires and player made grill still remained. I hope that the dev's can do something regarding the despawning of these and items; and put longer timers on things that have been placed.
All the meat in my fridge went rotten (turned the fridge on after putting the meat in). Did you have the fridge turned on before you put the meat in or after? Also, the generator runs dry in a few hours; literally no point to it unless you plan to log in every few hours to top it up :(
the two servers i play on when i log off for say anywhere from 8hrs to 16hrs or so when i come back and the generator is out of gas everything inside is down like 30 percent from where it was when i logged so idk what settings they have messed with but it makes storing food useless. Thanks for the info now i can tell them they F'd up something
Not sure if things have changed but all my food I spent $s on and grew all rotted in the fridge - which was ON and powered with a small generator full of gas. My base is down south, near the Railyard. I went to the big city for a day and night and when I returned the next morning, Everything in the fridge was under 30% and off, but the fridge was ON and the generator was still running. Not happy!
I don't see why all of them don't stay? What's the point of having them despawn "for server reasons" when the server admins are putting the loot to 5x vanilla. And on official servers, the biggest lagging culprits are the players themselves, leveling awareness with 120931023 sticks.
The fridge is working 24/7 even without the generator and it is keeping the food at the same % as you put it into the fridge. I tired out myself, 2 days without generator and the food is still on the same %. I guess next Hotfix they will adjust it. Gas is working as indeed. Thank You
@@Luthais yes your right, I also need to do more testing, after 3 days the meat lost in % but the generator is still off and the fridge is working. New test is already going ✌🏻
pot and pan is fine, light and grills/fire pits should stay.. fire pit used to have a maintain for 14 days even outside a flagzone. Light , there might be a reason for idk
I tryed to repair the stove and the fridge, it used all 25/25 for the electrician tool and didnt even fully repaired, it repaired ont 50% of the stove and the tool kit was gone... i am so confuse, how can i repair this things?
server restarts don't reset counters anymore dropped items in the wild should despawn if you leave the area for 2 min or so they last longer in your flag area
