That's a good question. I feel there are a lot of things that play into that and there is not a single easy answer. From my experience in the game it seems like the game is bouncing all over the place with things being implemented, then removed, then re-implemented causing the player base to become frustrated. Another issue is there are still bugs in the game since almost 2+ years ago that still have not been fixed (example: the log in super jump). Don't get me wrong this game is awesome and I love it but I think a large amount of the new players join and play the game for a little bit until they get frustrated with how the game is running and some of the broken features so the players just stop playing. This game has a ton of potential and if done correctly can EASILY beat DayZ and possibly Rust for one of the most popular PvP survival games out there.
