If all they did for one entire update was fix the rubber band and stutter issues, it would be a huge W. And b4 any says it my pc, I have a Ryzen 9 series and RTX 3080. Not a top tier gaming rig but certainly capable of running scum with no stutters. And if not then actual optimization would be my next suggestion.
I understand your frustration. I to get frustrated when the shuddering and desync is bad but I have also been around this game for a long time and it is 5x better than it used to be. I have faith with time the devs will have the game running better.
This game is technical AF. This will turn off a lot of players. I don't mind detail but there has a balance. I'm not trying to get degree in SCUM-ology.
Yes, SCUM is a very detailed survival game but that is what makes it unique and more of a challenge. I personally like the difficult and the skill/knowledge it takes to be good at the game. But I understand your prospective and I can see how it can be a lot to learn for new players which is why I create tutorial videos about the game.
The base painting is absolutely useless for a solo player, as is having a base. Until they let us paint our rat boxes the color of the ground/bush, that’s useless content for me.
@@ShadowBroker000 We did have that, it was called caves. And they removed it. They have systematically removed many fun things from the game, still no official word from devs on why they blocked cave builds.
Yeah I agree vehicles are loud. I think the loudness factor needs to be based off your location relative to the vehicle. Meaning that if you are inside a car it all outside audio should be muffled but if you are in the bed of the Rager (truck) then you should he the outside audio as normal. In regards to the planes they are loud in real life so I think the audio for them in game is close to real life which for me at least makes it more immersive but instead of an audio slider for just vehicle sounds the better way to address it for immersion in my opinion is make it to where ear plugs/muffs are useful in the fact that when wearing them it muffles the audio (match how they work in real life.)
At this point they treat it like a paycheck. paying salaries instead of the passion and vision they first had off initial release. Due to terrible content creators and the influence they have on their original idea they have ruined the game. Remember this was originally an arma mod... I don't even wanna start on how much skill it takes to put a 223 on an ak with tracer rounds and mag dump up to 400 meters
@@Deadly91 Hmm,interesting I do agree on how they are treating the game like a paycheck as all of the chinese invaders are the proof of no care for the passionate players. most content creators are dogshit tho that might also be the reflection of the devs the x6 scope and full auto rpk even on 200 meters while in crouch(because bipod still is not functional after 3 years🤣) is a nothing but a joke( i use it and get kills im not crying)
I actually have a helmet and armor testing guide as one of my video ideas but I have been holding off to see what changes they make to weapons in the coming updates. I may just go ahead and make the video and redo it if the devs make changes to either the weapons or armor.
This is the best beginner's guide It shows the basic stuff that everyone does (such as bow / bag / wood axe) but is much more advanced stuff with informations about what's on the map / merchant locations / how to heal / ... I thank you very much for this

Sometimes the desync can be bad but I love SCUM and the devs continue to improve the game performance with time so I will continue to support and play a game I enjoy.
The devs have stated that the being able to paint bases will be part of the base game and not a DLC. For proof they stated this reference SCUM Dev Update #96. The devs are releasing weekly update notes and videos showing all the things the team is working on. You need to remember that not all the devs work on the same things. Some devs are focused on the Art and visuals of the game, others are focused on programing and bug fixing, and others work on animations, etc. Its like any other company you have people dedicated to specific task and not everyone works on the same thing.
It takes a lot of practice lockpicking to be able to pick locks. My best recommendation is to practice lockpicking daily until you are able to pick the more difficult locks.
Welcome to SCUM. Hope you are enjoying the game. There are multiple good servers out there. There are servers dedicated to PvP, survival PvP, hardcore survival, PvE, or even role playing. It all depends on how you want to play the game. I recommend going to the server list and selecting the filter for highest player count and then look at what server sounds interesting.
