I think a bigger problem is sellers and stores overpricing games.

I've mentioned this story before but I passed up a Panzer Dragoon Saga for the Saturn as a consignment junk type store in a rule town like 15 years or so ago because it was priced at about $50 or so and at that time that was more than I was willing to spend on used stuff and wasn't aware on the value of it. But on the opposite of that, also about 10 years ago one of the local retro stores here in my town of which they are a chain of, had a sealed SNES Secret of Evermore in their glass case. In the glass case wasn't unusual, but the price on it was and I bought it on the spot to purposely keep for the collection and keep it sealed. They had it priced at that time the same as a loose cart and so I was able to take that factory sealed SNES game for $15 that day. But I didn't buy it to flip it and was just happy to find such a lucky find for my collection. Honestly, I doubht they paid more than that from whomever they gave trade credit for. But those really the only two times I can think of that might be relevant to your video.

Some people just want to get rid of their collections and don’t care about price.

I’ve offered more on displays because I would’ve felt bad buying for the little amount they were asking. I’m not reselling though. I’m just happy with some deals.

I’ve sold stuff for next to nothing video game wise, but then regretted it, not cause I sold it for so cheap but for the mere fact that I wanted to play that game again. Although now with emulation at the point we’re it’s at now, I can play those games I sold, again. When ever I can find the game at a reasonable deal I buy it again, but I’m not going to deprive myself from not playing the game just cause it’s emulation. Also I recently but your omnibus books on the nes and snes. Just started reading, there pretty cool. I saw in another video you made you decided not to put out a Sega Genesis one cause of the ramifications of what sega might do. But what about other consoles? Such as the turbo grafx, 3do, Atari, have you thought about putting out books on those consoles before? Just curious. Great video by the way.

Never appraise things for people. Make an offer. If it's accepted then the dealing was ethical. Easy.

Always love finding a good deal, but I hardly ever sell anything. I'm in it for the games, ya know? Same reason I don't buy sealed classic games. That said, I have actually helped resellers catch themselves when mislabelling or ridiculously underselling something before it becomes an issue in-store or something, knowing they have a business to run and bills to pay. On that note, I likewise never hesitate to tell someone when they're outright ripping customers off with ridiculous pricing.

I think DKOldies and others like that who fill warehouses with games and systems in an attempt to own the used market is pretty scummy

Where do draw the line at taking advantage of someone slipping ? If an old lady has a sealed in box SMB , and she doesn’t know how much it is and you give her 2$, do you feel good about that ? At what point do you look in the mirror and say “I shouldn’t have done that “. 1000$ ? 10,000$ , $100,000?
