Only thing I'm missing here is audio samples of how it sounds at 25% 50% 75% vs competition of same price bracket. You're still one of my favourite reviewer though 👍
I live in Japan and use the Mugen 5 Rev. B. It's fun to point out that the 'Kaze Flex' name for the fan means "Wind Flex". Kaze means wind. And it is pronounced like Ka rhymes with Ha as in "haha that's funny". And Ze rhymes with Meh as in "Meh, I don't care." So the Ka is more like 'fa' in 'father'.
Cool looks like Scythe use a standard mount. Might upgrade my Kotetsu... Really wish Jonsbo would send you some coolers too. They have some nice looking designs.
Great cooler. I have been using it with a 12700k. Looks great, easy to install. Dual fan won’t work with many cases, but it doesn’t matter. The single fan is outstanding.
what do you think about some people saying that the temps are high on ryzen cpus espacially for 5600x i have read this 3 times. one guy says that this is a issue with the cooling plate? i want this cooler but i am not sure.
I believe that if they changed the fan for a Wonder Snail, maybe add the second one, close the side of the heatsink like Noctua and maybe even change the orientation off the heatpipes so that they are more separate from each other they could absolutley have a producto that challenges the Noctua NH-U12A and maybe surpass it
I also don't get these high thingies at the end of heat pipes. It seems like they could've fit instead like 3 additional fins there without hurthing compatibility at all
The design is similar to ID Cooling SE 226 XT (154 mm, 6 heatpipe, RAM compatibility )which is cheaper. Check it out! Major difference might be the fans, mounting system, and all black color.
Have mugen 5 PCGH - like a rev B but dual 800mm fans . Swapped them for Eloop B12-P [ two for push and pull ] and there are big improvements ... so yeah , radiator is capable but stock fans were too weak to really use it . Rev C is already better but there is still a place for fan upgrade .
