Apparently I'm bored and insane enough to grind my squad up to +80 stats just to try to beat the rest of the campaign on Hell difficulty, so I was experimenting with grinding at FINAL01. I decided to record this run as I found it mildly interesting. As always, my pilot is my L99 Relena Peacecraft as I am specifically trying to raise the level of my units. I feel it's more efficient to develop Relena to train your MSes. To train your pilots, you can just run a sufficiently high level Turn A (Dark History) on FINAL03 Hell Road with character experience boosters.
To run FINAL01 for solo unit grinding purposes, your unit needs to have an ATK of I think 80+ a 6000 power weapon, or 85+ with a 5500 without factoring in Option Parts. After that, equipping It the アンリミテッドユニット (Unlimited Unit, x2 damage and all attacks cost 0 EN, though you still pay full MP costs), the アストナージ・エンジン (Astonaige Engine, +50 to unit Attack and Mobility) and either a suitable Premium weapon modifier or the 黒歴史の遺産 (Legacy of Dark History, +30 to unit Attack). For this case, I went with the Legacy over a Premium Beam Generator as I'll also be making use of Halphas' バーニングフレア (Burning Fire) attack, which is classified as a Hissatsu.
You need to be able to kill the Reginas first from the normal Tension level. Without enough attack power, this can just fail because their "pilot's" Defence stat is just too high. Most of the Girder turrets are unreachable without an attack range of 2+, so basic range 1 melee attacks will generally not be good enough. Also, at the very end, you'll have to face three Big Girders with 75,000 HP and 90 Defence. They're positioned well enough with a bunch of Reginas that you can intelligently use Multilocks to weaken and kill them without giving them a chance to retaliate.
Of course, Halphas doesn't have any Multilock attacks. That is where Burning Fire comes in. Hissatsu class have the highest damage multipliers from tension, so if you're training a Halphas (or Phoenix) Gundam here, you can spend the 45 MP to one-shot them. Kills only net you 40 MP, so doing this will drop you out of your max tension mode. However, it'll just take you two kills to get back to max tension, which is what the Reginas are there for. To some degree, this is just a scaled up version of C07 as you'd do the same to take out Master Gundam, but it's more noticeable here. The regular Girders already have way more health than the Reginas, so you need to get the tension up earlier.
Mostly played my own music, though I did switch back to regular in-game music again since I decided to show off some of the Halphas' attacks. Playlist is as follows:
0:00 サクラサクミライコイユメ - yozuca* (Da Capo)
4:37 Flyable Heart - KIYO (Flyable Heart)
8:21 テレスコープ - Sleepin' JohnnyFish (Happy Lesson)
The in-game theme playing is ガンダムに愛を込めて - 米倉千尋.
