This week we show you the extended footage of the Suspension Direct Inc Shop tour. SDI are the makers of the E-click system for the Raptors, Jeep and tons of other vehicles. We got access to their whole shop space and get a peak at everything this guys do. So much experience here.

Possible Shock Exchange Approach: Allow us to order the Kit (the electronics side of things) and a set of rebuilt/revalved shocks appropriate for our year truck (mine is a '20), have them installed at an SDI approved shop locally where our current shocks are collected by the shop, inspected, packaged and sent back to SDI to be rebuilt/revalved, at which point we would receive a credit back from SDI based on the condition of the take-off shocks we provided. There would need to be a generally accepted range of take-off value and the authorized shop performing the work would need to have the authority to reject take-offs that didn't meet some reasonable condition requirement. We get immediate access to revalved shocks and SDI ensures a solid stream of good condition take-offs to continue to feed the rebuild line. Just one of many possibilities obviously.

Many shops have tried to setup a similar process and it’s very difficult to scale. The SDI team is trying to setup an exchange program that speeds things up, just not that quick yet. They need to inspect the shocks before exchanging them. Too much risk with sending shocks ahead of time. I’ve seen what some people call “light use” or “low miles” in exchange programs. Just ask the guys at Forged offroad that tried it. They got shocks that were done. Could not be rebuilt. Soo corroded or damaged that they could not be rebuilt and now they are out a good set of shocks.

I went on their website. Nothing for 1st gen Raptors.

Contact them directly. Few guys have the kits running on the Gen1 already. They are responsive of IG or their CS number.

I have a GEN 1 and would be very interested in how a retro fit kit would work

Gen1 is not as easy as a Gen2 but still relatively easy. 1. Shock bucket. KHC or Camburg both make one for the Gen1. You can run Gen1 arms or upgrade to Gen2 takeoff arms. 2. Take off Gen2 LIve Valve with solenoids OR Fox FRS LVs. 3. E click system with sensor. Run the included lines to each corner of the truck for each shocks. 4. Have a shit ton of fun.

Could you imagine that Jeep kit in a 392 Rubicon!?!?!?!? Any chance he’s getting that model?
@KeepItDirtyOffRoad
@KeepItDirtyOffRoad 2 года назад
That would be awesome because of the extra power. The Turbo4 and the V6 suck. BUT the 392 is more of a street focused Jeep. I read somewhere that it does not get the bigger Dana axles in the rubicon. They won’t fit with the V8. So not sure how good of a starting it would be when axles have to be upgraded to get the same performance

@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad oh wow I thought it had the Dana 44 in them. I agree I hate the turbo 4, had a rental and that thing was so laggy it killed me. Didn’t even bother doing the Jeep wave in that damn thing! Lol!

I am getting ready to jump on a set for my 2021 Rubicon EcoDiesel. I am going to do my best to put up some reviews. I wish there were more as it is a pricey add on so I hope it is worth it. I just need to contact them and see what best route to go is with a 2” MOPAR lift.

So we just filmed a video on their Jeep and it’s amazing. Theirs is on a 2.5 in Currie lift that extends the arms and springs with the SDi shocks and the Jeep is a million times better. Handling on the road is greatly increased, and offroad she can keep up with raptor 🤯. Video will be up in a few weeks. Damn Jeep blew my mind.
