I think we all agree there. Even if some cutting was required, it would be a far better option than the arm bump stops we see.

The Rubicon has a 1" lift over the Sport or the Sahara, but they used the same LCA on the front. If you put the LCA's from the Mopar 2" lift on the front (they're 1/4" longer), it helps the steering by bringing the front caster back to 6 degrees (stock on Sport and Sahara) from 4 degrees (what the Rubicon ended up with).
@KeepItDirtyOffRoad
@KeepItDirtyOffRoad 2 года назад
So is the Mojave arms longer because of the different shocks? I’m thinking more and more that the shocks are the ones really making a difference. Yes everything else contributes of course. But the biggest thing that can improve the steering and drivability are good quality shocks with a proper tune.
@Qurtyslyn

@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad It's not the Mojave Arms. It's the Arms from the Mopar 2" lift that Jeep offers for the Wrangler.

Great video - like the detail! On-road and crawling performance appear to perform nicely! Question: Why were the high-speed runs in street mode? Seems to me there should be a desert/dirt road mode for taking whoops at speed - is that in the works?
@KeepItDirtyOffRoad
@KeepItDirtyOffRoad 2 года назад
Yeah, we don’t know why, but on fast off-roading street mode is the most stable. Desert mode gets too stiff and makes it buck more. Not sure why, but it may be with the way the algorithms respond and they’ve put more time into Streep mode than any of the modes and made sure it can handle all situations

Yeah, Wayne calls it curries 2.5in lift. The springs are soft and help with the smoother ride on street. And yeah, finding that awareness of these guys products is very low. One of the reasons I’m making these videos. Totally blown away and wish I would have found them long ago. They’ve been in business a long time, but they make parts for everyone else like walker evans. They are just getting into the consumer side and blowing everyone away.

If you are running a pedal sensitivity device like the Banks Pedal Monster or a pedal Commander and or the Derringer, these use the OBD2 port and this shock system does as well. You will get errors like I do. So now I have to choose between the Pedal Monster/Derringer or the shocks. The Icons and Falcons may not be as advanced but the icons are pretty close and do not require the OBD use. Want to buy my setup? I am thinking of doing the icons so I can still use the banks. It sucks because I love this system and it was well worth the money. Only reason I am posting is so people are aware. I love the shocks, but I love my Banks as well.

Well yeah man. Don’t LR4 use air bags and all that to raise and lower? You would need remove that whole system first plus upgrade a ton of components to use a new set of coilovers. Would be cool as hell, but yeah man. They only make the shocks, not the whole suspension solution. Even on the jeep, they can support stock but to unlock the full potential you need a lift kit and a few arm upgrades to make it work right and this don’t make any of it

Your complaints are solid axle things more than “Jeep”. I’ve had an 80 series LC, drive many 3/4-1 ton trucks, and currently have a JT. It’s more solid axle things than Jeep. That being said, great video and I liked hearing your commentary.

@KeepItDirtyOffRoad
@KeepItDirtyOffRoad 7 месяцев назад
You should try driving a raptor. The Jeep is beyond uncomfortable and a chore to drive. I had a bad sensor here that was later replaced. Just waiting for the dealer when we filmed this. Tires were at full pressure and had no impact on the drive. But if you watch the video, I’m talking about my last fee months with the Jeep . Not just during the drive. The jeep just did the typical BS it always does. And that’s with stock suspension on a relatively new Jeep. And the poor driving gets worse as you upgrade. Upgraded arms with better joints helps substantially with steering wheel input, but does not eliminate it all. That all being said, if you seriously think that just low pressure would make the Jeep worse to drive, then dude, you really need to drive a Raptor. Does not matter if I’m at full pressure or all the tires are low. Always drives like a dream with minimal corrections. And the seats are way more comfortable

Don’t see what you’re talking about man. My jeeps air pressure was good and had no warnings on the dash. This was not an opinion based on a single drive. We’ve been driving that Jeep for years, on and off road. And it always rode horrible compared to the Raptor. It was a total chore to drive.
@bryank9784
@bryank9784 7 месяцев назад
The split screen at 8:07 shows the tire pressures, your left is so low its red, the right front is 31, the right rear is 34 and left rear is 36 on your wife's Jeep just saying that is probably why it rides like crap. I am in looking for new shocks and these are on my radar looks pretty cool
@KeepItDirtyOffRoad
@KeepItDirtyOffRoad 7 месяцев назад
Ah ok. Had to look up the service records to confirm if there was anything wrong and yeah man. Dealer had to replace a tpms sensor in that tire shortly after. You can see at the beginning of the video, the tire was not low. Not even close to the 5 psi shown. Now as far as suspension is concerned, if you want to improve the ride no matter if it’s at stock or lifted, there is nothing better than Eclick. It solved a lot of the problems with a Jeep and on both street and offroad there is massive improvement. On road manners are greatly improved. Way less body roll and not as much input. Offroad the live valve system is always trying to keep the Jeep level so you can feel the shocks getting stiffer and softer to keep the Jeep on grip. And lastly, it allows it to keep up with raptor. Not many jeep suspension system can say that.

Footage don’t lie man. The Jeep performed so good thru there and was the most versatile with just a mild lift. That all being said, I hate the way that Jeeps drive and they are not comfortable. But I know for a fact that a modern land cruiser is not as capable as a modern Jeep. Modern land cruiser is a large luxury SVU designed for onroad comfort. Jeep sacrifices are lot for offroad performance and is the better offroad vehicle

@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad I’ve had buddies roll too many times in those Jeeps. Yur right, they’re not comfortable at all and their gas tanks are small. I don’t know much about the latest Landcruiser like the 200 series. My favorite of the Cruisers is the 80 series with factory lockers. Those are literally the best 4x4 vehicles on earth. I think Toyota secretly brought in Hatori Hanzo and had him make the 80 series Landcruisers. Jeeps definitely have the cool factor going for them. I’m sure some, when modded well, are capable. But the 80 series Landcruiser is the king if done up well. I was a Landcruiser guy all my life since 17 years old. I started out with FJ-40’s (I restored 3 of them) then jumped up to the 80 Series (I had 3 of those). The only possible place to go up from there was the Raptor. I did consider the 100 series Landcruiser for a while.

80 series offroad reputation is very well known. Specially in Europe. But the latest land cruiser is a lot like a LandRover. All luxury and no real offroad performance anymore. @@KeepItDirtyOffRoad I know the Raptor is more about high speed and all that, but I’m sold on how well it’s (especially 1st gen) built. SVT did an unusually great job making it extremely heavy duty and overbuilt. Similarly to the 80 series Landcruiser.

I’m not bashing the 2nd gen and all that. I’m just saying I’m coming from a Landcruiser background and I can see and tell that the 1st gen is an absolute gem of a steal right now.
