You will submit a video in which you will discuss the prompts below. There are two parts to this assignment.
Part One:
You will completely disassemble your 1911 and lay out each component in the platform in an exploded format. The actual disassembly process can be done off camera, however, it will be important to show the firearm before and after (assembled and disassembled) the disassembly process, specifically showing the "exploded" firearm on camera. You will then select and name six of the components within the 1911 platform, describe their function, and identify the step(s) of the cycle of operations in which each component plays an active role.

Please note that not all of the components on this list play an active role in the cycle of operations, so it will be important that you thoroughly understand the material addressed in this week's lecture material and articulate, in detail, the points identified in this prompt. If the component that you have selected does not play an active role in the cycle of operations, articulate this and explain why.
Part Two:
Following the video guidance in the lecture, you will reassemble your firearm, run the firearm through all eight steps of the cycle of operations, and articulate what you are expecting to see in each step. If this assignment requires outside sources, you will need to verbally cite your sources in your video. Your brief verbal citation should include the author of the publication (if applicable) and/or website, the title of the publication, and the date (if available). When introducing the source, use a simple introductory phrase such as, "According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, the shotgun is the only firearm allowed for use in turkey hunting in wildlife management areas."
