As a matter of proper assembly practices, I always grease the spindles of the pedals. A frozen pedal can damage your pedal wrench and may cause the threads in the crank arm to strip out too. You can use whatever lubricant you have to keep the pedals from seizing up, but I will always recommend this step in my assemblies. 😁👍

I realize that I don't go into full details for these builds. These are basic assembly videos designed for training purposes for new employees at our shop. The fine details are handled by our more experienced mechanics before the bikes are sold to a customer. The idea of these videos is to save us time training new hires as to how to efficiently assemble the bikes from the box in a production shop. The amount of time we have wasted on training people who have no experience at all is astonishing and costly. We mainly use these videos to get people started, and hopefully they will progress into full fledged mechanics once they get the basics mastered. In the future, we may put together a "master class" series that will focus on more of the details of fine tuning these bikes, but with the work load we already have, we are just trying to build the library with the models we carry and keep production moving forward.
