Shipbreaker VS monarch was a big fight for PXC tbh, winning it skyrocketed our morale from being pretty low. It also showed the system 1st could be beaten. This is why apollyon is our flagship, not cairo.
I would have loved to have seen the riveare turned back into a ship I know I sounds stupid but I would have been really neat to see one half of the wreck turned into a ship and escape
Question about the consequences of damaging a ship. Firstly, a sunk ship is permanently lost obviously, so everyone wants to make that happen to the enemy while avoiding it happening to them. But how is a damaged ship viewed? If a ship is damaged but gets away, will the players who didn't sink it feel like they wasted a good opportunity to sink something? Secondly, what is the consequence for a damaged ship? Is it repaired for the next turn, or is it only repaired on a friendly tile? Does it keep the exact damage because you grabbed a copy for use in the next battle? Will it cost anything for repairing? Sorry if these are covered on the discord, I did try to look a few times but was unable to find anything specific on repairing. RIP Rivierre.
It does not cost anything to repair ships, unless it's a BB(Which costs 1 BT to repair) however, every ship does need a FOB to repair, if there is no FOB or HQ on tile, a ship will not repair. BBs can also repair their squadron. And yes, copys are always taken after fights incase ships get cutoff from enemy territory. And on the subject of ships escaping, as one of the 2 gunners on apollyons fury, I am very disappointed about some of those 1st ships getting away, however there was nothing we could've done to stop them from leaving.
if they loose all jump drives they cannot leave the tile. damage states persist until repaired. Certain damage states like loss of the bridge mean the ship cannot be maneuvered.
@@Maysono So if that First Fleet squadron retreats to a friendly tile, they are fully repaired for the next battle? Sounds like sinking an enemy ship is a pretty high priority. Thanks for answering my questions 😁
@@GetBrocked So a damaged ship only matters if you can fight it again in the same turn or if it can't get back to a friendly tile? I can imagine it takes a lot for the players to accept that winning the battle requires them to not sink all the ships if they get the chance, sometimes they have to let them go and move onto the next bit of the action. Thanks for answering my questions 😁
@VainerCactus0 meh, 1st fleet has a massive navy and production, so destroying their boats doesn't acually matter all too much unless it's a battleship. PXC instead focuses on winning because it gives us a better strategic upperhand.
Shame the Khans are not willing to join in the war. PHX and the EFN can not do all the heavy lifting on their own, and the riders are reorganising their forces after the cease fire with the free riders. The alliance of PHX and EFN are carrying this war on their backs, and i fear soon enough that they're going to run out of steam eventually.
@GusionASWG11 the KU has done nothing but moaning about the RR, while the RR has managed to defend the cantina from the TFD, destroying a CH and BB (Bastile), defended their shipyard against Shiver squadron (whilst being outnumbered 2 to 1 at one point, taking out Nibble Nibble) and trying to right the wrongs they did after the end of the supremacy war. All this time, the FR has done 1 battle claiming RR's shipyard but ended up giving it back to them for a cease fire and trying to falsify evidence, as well as keeping all of their squadrons in their territory doing jack s**t
I just noticed something, at the very end of the video which shows the end of this turn I see only 1 rider squadron, is that intentional or did the other squadrons get missed?
Well if I can remember right, the Battlement class fleet battleships, (which by battleship standards were neumorus) so ships like Bastille and Reverie went all the way back before EFN was even a name (if I can remember correctly)
@@conormccue2871 then again I think the captain of the Bastille said it was really old, so I imagine it's like taking a ww1 battleship, modernising it a bit and putting it in a modern day war
