I am convinced that this is exactly what a criminal and psychological thriller should be, which can be safely classified as a Classic of the genre.

Hey guys ! More like this, all from David Fincher - The Game - Michael Douglas, Gone Girl - Ben Affleck, Zodiac - Robert Downey Jnr & Mark Ruffalo. Also his TV show Mindhunter which is about the formation of the FBI Behavioural Sciences Division (remember Silence of the Lambs ?) where agents go and interview real world serial killers and develop their first profiles. Will totally give you chills.

"Seven"(1995) is a Crime mystery thriller movie masterpiece!This is one of the 3 best movies of all time for this Kind! The ending scene of the movie was inspiring, disturbing, shocking, and very unpredictable!

Imagine seeing this back in '95, knowing absolutely nothing about it. I did, and I walked out of that cinema feeling like I had just been hit over the head with a bat.

As Ellie said, she has already seen and reacted to this movie.(3 years ago). Her solo reactions were great because she never held back like she does when someone is with her - even Larry. Her reaction to the scene here at 18:15 ( 13:05 in her original) remains my all-time favourite reaction to ANYTHING for those few seconds... 😳

"Psycho", "Some Like it Hot", "Rosemary's Baby", "Mulholland Drive" (that one is at least in the 2000s), "The Producers" (original by Mel Brooks), "Radio Days", "Blowup", "The Wicker Man" (original please), "Suspiria", "Hour of the Wolf", "McCabe & Mrs Miller", "Juliet of the Spirits", "Diabolique" (original French), "Master and Commander", "The Piano", "Delicatessen", "Chocolat" (the one with Johnny Depp), and many more.

Pitt ,Freeman and Paltrow are good but Spacey's performance is great ,so chilling .

I’m amazed you all managed to make it through Seven, ladies! Absolutely not for the faint hearted! Needless to say we all saw what an absolute psychopath John Doe was; easily Kevin Spacey’s greatest performance of all. His reasoning for killing all his victims actually does make a lot of sense but they still didn’t deserve to die in the manner they all did & if you ask me, Tracey wasn’t so innocent herself simply because of the fact she never told Mills (her own husband) she was pregnant & told Somerset instead. Probably meant to be an allegory of never keeping secrets from your own family which is ultimately a sin in itself. Excellent reaction once again!

1995 was a great year for Spacey! This, swimming with sharks, Usual Suspects and a couple others!

As soon as Mills saw the picture of himself he should have immediately sent his wife away . He actually yelled his name out to the guy in the stairwell

There is not a single jury that would actually convict David. He'd never actually see prison for this under the circumstances and Somerset's testimony. But David's life would be forfeit after this and he'd be utterly miserable for the rest of his days. Life taken either way.

John doe was NOT a victim because he was the evil killer. There were 7 other victims, never forget the baby inside her! 😞 This film is definitely in the top 5 all time crime/mystery/thrillers in history. Outstanding performances, story and direction.

I love that you said he should be tortured, prolonging his pain would be better(my thoughts). Wrath by definition is spontaneous anger so technically Mills wouldn't be part of it. he just didn't have time to do that though!

A movie that's gruesome and grisly, but you just can't stop watching - especially with the climax of the film! All of our Homies got gripped (has Viki ever been so animated?) It's no surprise that Mish wanted to watch it all over again, just to catch any details that got missed the first time.

I have alwYs said that Se7en is a Batman movie without Batman. The "Gotham City" cops had to handle things without Batman for awhile. 😅 And don't worry, no jury will find Mills guilty acter hearing that audio tape.
