Sea cucumbers basically have no right to exist. Okay, that might be a stretch, but they are absolutely bizarre organisms. Let's find one and learn about their unique biology and ecological value!

If you've made it this far in the description, remember to be safe when creature adventuring! Most wild animals can cause injury if harassed, and I do not recommend attempting to capture any creatures without purpose and practice. The reason that I interact with wildlife is to produce these educational videos, and I am a professional biologist. Also, I always ask permission from a land owner before exploring on their property, and you should do the same.
Keep adventuring everywhere, and keep your adventures safe at all times!

Hi Theresa, good to see you here and to know that you are not a sea cucumber. Myself, on the other hand...

Cool stuff. I've only seen one Sea Cucumber in my life and it was in a sound at the NC coast. They are really bizarre creatures compared to most things we see. It looks like maculatum is the next creature.

Woah, I didn't realize we even had them here in NC! What species is it? Also great guess!

This was about 15 years ago and, at the time, I didn't know there were more than one species. I was with a marine biologist who probably mentioned the species, but it didn't stick. There's a short paper called "An illustrated key to the sea cucumbers of the South Atlantic Bight" that would be worth looking up if you're interested. It covers the Sea Cucumbers found between Cape Hatteras, NC and Cape Canaveral, FL. @@TheWildReportOfficial

Great video! Imagine if it had actually been a 💩 that you went to pick up, definitely would have intestinally vomited lol Could the jelly blob you found at 1:10 be a Bryozoa? Just a wild guess, I just remember seeing a post on reddit of someone asking for help identifying a blob of jelly in their pond/lake, and people were saying Bryozoa
@TheWildReportOfficial
@TheWildReportOfficial 5 месяцев назад
Thanks! Yeah some serious vomitting would have been occurring. It's definitely possible, I didn't think about that option! I'll look into it more and see if I can find out anything.

I've been watching you for a while now, but I missed why you were in Japan, are you studying abroad or was it a vacation? BTW it's awesome that you've kept your passion for animals since you were a kid, it nice to see someone doing something they love so early in life.

Thanks for sticking with my content for so long! I was just in Japan for a vacation, it's something I'd talked about doing forever and finally had an opportunity to make it happen. Thanks for the support, it's been a blessing being able to pursue my passion from a young age!

Well, I must confess that in my foolish past, after a hard night drinking with buddies, I came pretty close to ejecting my internal organs. Which could indicate I also lacked a brain. Never cloned myself as far I know, though.

Do sea cucumbers have sea tomatoes to make Christian tv with? Or has the ocean not yet reached the height of evolution?
