If you use this unit year round it is worth the money. We use it to pull a wakeboard & tube on the Columbia River in Washington. We are currently using it for salmon fishing in Drano Lake and Priest Rapids on the Columbia River and it haven’t let me down. Two people fit great. We just slid the cooler to the rear of the jet ski so we can stand and stretch once and a while and we switch back and forth to get a break from stearin. My son is 5’9” 160lbs I’m 5’7” 220lbs and we have never felt that the jet ski would flip in anyway. We use the fish finder mostly for depth. But it does work. I have never used a fish finder before so I’m still learning how all this works. My son and I are bank fishermen but now we are trying something new. Had to buy all new fishing gear for this! We definitely have spent more time together now that we have the fishpro! My daughter is next to learn how to fish.
I think that it was interesting that the Australian video has the cooler in the furthest rear linQ position and the rear seat removed to allow more room for standing (and fishing).
Hi Roberto, in the U.S., it's a state-by-state thing. For instance, in New York you need training if you were born after 1996, in Florida, you just need to be 14 years old.
boatscribe some dealers are willing to play with the price. We got ours for $14,250 with taxes here in town. Yakima,Wa. I called the Seattle area and they dropped the price a lot so I asked them to send me an email how much they are going to sell me the fishpro and I went to my local dealer and they saw it and called and verified and they worked with me. I told them I have to problem going to Seattle and getting it. So they worked with me. AWSOME customer service. Premier Motor sports.
I guess it depends if you are a fisherman or not. If you are, I think all the modifications of the GTX 155 are worth it. I've fished on other models and didn't enjoy the experience nearly as much as with the Fish Pro. The extra stability and room with the extended rear deck, the special saddle, the trolling feature that allows you to dial in the presentation, the fishfinder, the cooler that is also a rigging station plus all the rod holders is totally worth the extra $2,000.
