We visited Ha'penny pier or half penny pier in Harwich opposite Felixstowe. Fish from the off, whiting Galore, lovely weather, strong Ebb tide was good fishing the surg though
Ha penny pier on ebb. Dont cast so far and leave a good bow in your line to allow your wires to get a much better grip in the mud. Fished Harwich for the last 50 years and my best fish from the pier all came within 30 or 40 yards of it. Not in anyway a criticism, just told you in the hope it may help you out. Same with the stone pier / blackmans point (yes, thats the name of it), not too long a cast again. Good little video, well done mate.
Cheers buddy, useful information I wanted to know that's very much!!! Glad you enjoyed it and thank you for watching. Wanna Tey harwich out alot more in the future when this all dies down again
Thanks for the tips. I once had 2 whiting both on the same hook fishing the Ha'penny. The 2nd (of the 2) was hooked through the outside of it's mouth going for the worm outside of the mouth of the 1st.
@@ultravires987 Nice one! Caught a decent sized codling the same way one stormy night. Had a little whiting take the bait and get hooked, but wind was such that I didnt see the bite until the codling ate the whiting. Tight lines.
