Hi David It tends not to be used up here in the North, not sure about in the South. I have seen that method being used in other videos - mainly Gido’s Fishing Adventures, where he uses burly most sessions- maybe I should give it a try 🤔 💭🎣🐟🐟🐟

Hi Gary There’s not much about up here this time of year. River / pier at blyth mostly small whiting. Flatty’s from beaches. I fished the Tyne (at Walker) on Monday and got a couple small codling plus a couple of what I think were small pouting. Parking for Blyth pier just off the main road in the small car park - free, space for around ten cars. I’d suggest the Tyne tbh just now. Tight lines 🎣🐟
