Follow my fishing adventures around the North East of England (plus trips further afield). Come with me on my fishing journey, my aim is to learn and improve over time enabling me to fish using different methods, and catch a whole variety of species.
Well done with another great video, I caught my first dogfish, the other week, I was smiling the two hour journey home. I understand when you say fishing is your happy place, the stress of life , can get a bit much.i feel recharged after a day of fishing even if I catch nothing,it's great to level your head . Hinny you are an inspiration ❤ tight lines Neil
Hi danielle , hope your well and I good form. Well that was a busy adventure..good size dogfish.. I wonder do you get bullhush along that coast line ? Well done princess great entertainment. Respectfully 🎣
Enjoying the channel. I recently moved back to the north east and i live in Seaham. Cullernose point looks like a mark i should add to my list. Looked on Google maps and it looks like you park on the road and walk over fields. Is there a specific path to follow? Im a bit past mountaineering when i ho fishing, do i need to do mountaineering at cullernose point?
Hi Mike Park on the road, there’s a few little places nearby, then follow the coastal path which runs right up to the point. It can be hit or miss there, but always worth a try. Lots more places to try in that area too. It’s not too bad on the rocks there, you’ll not need your climbing ropes lol but wear sturdy boots 👍🎣🐟
@@fishinghinny @fishinghinny Thank you for taking the time to reply, and that's really helpful. I guess the best thing is for me to drive up there one day, and take a look. I'll be fine as long as long as I don't need ropes to climb down or to tie ladders to cliff faces, like I saw one time. One thing that did occur to me to suggest, when I saw you casting from a steep rock mark with a two hook flapper rig, where the snoods were quite long, and could potentially get snagged in the rocks behind you. Unless you already use them, I suggest you look at using breakaway imps and also cascade swives, so you can clip down your rigs and make them more streamlined and also less likely to snag as you cast. If I'm fishing a relatively shallow beach, mostly with two hook snood rigs, I will include an imp and cascade swivel when I tie the rig. This means the rig can be more streamlined if needs be, and I can quickly clip down the snoods and cast a little further to where the fish might be.
Thanks Jim Yeh, it was stunning. It’s a bit wet today on the west coast but I’m hoping the sun shines first the rest of the week while I’m over here 👍🎣🐟
Good to see you out and at it Danielle. Enjoying yourself. They were both Lesser Spotted Dogfish. The marking do differ slightly from fish to fish. They are a pest here on the west coast and no two will look exactly the same. Well done on catching your first one. Enjoyed the video, once again. Thanks for sharing.
nice video! can I ask, do u know how shallow the water was? looked deep yet ur rig seemed like u were keeping the wait close to the surface. just looking for advice <3
Alreet hin, cush vid. Everyone has a happy place, mine isn't far from there... Been fishing for nearly 45 years and seen plenty beautiful sunsets and rises. Not to mention everything else wild life wise. Keep the vids going it's great to watch. Think you know now why us anglers do it. Regards.....
Another great video Missy. Plenty of fish caught and the sunset was amazing. Is your next venture the North face of the Eiger, just with all the rock fishing training you have been putting in😂😂❤❤
Another brilliant video, absolutely stunning scenery, and lots of fish, can't wait for your next video, ah and well done for catching your first dogfish,
You said something i would say ahh "if I fell in I'd just get back out"😂 Little miss dangerous😁 Where was you camping if you don't mind me asking? Well done getting the dog fish!!! 😎🎣🐟
Not yet Stephen, but I’m away in the morning for a few days west coast and doing a bit of bait fishing, along with lures etc 🤞 I’m hoping to catch my first one 🤩🎣🐟👍
Thanks 🙏 that was quite a productive day. They are not always like that though, I’ve just got back in from an evening session on the beach and didn’t even have a bite in over six hours of fishing 😆🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
If you ever go back to torness ..... put your casts between the lifeboat and big stantion...... very little fish in the part you fished .... you also get fish at the inflow ( you can see it from the helipad ) mullet are usually at the outflow and just over the right hand side wall is where the bass are at but depends where you catch the tide for the bass .... can get a wee bit hairy if wrongly timed ....... nice to see you in east lothian 😉
@@fishinghinny Yes. I suggest you do so. Nice tasting fish. Bit more flakey/less firm than cod, so it's best to not overcook them. Enjoying your podcasts. Tight lines.
Hinny on a boat! Another great installment Danielle, please do keep making them. I sold my boat a few years ago so back to my first addiction - beach fishing. It’s interesting that you catch what are to us southerners, are summer and winter species all on the same day. My favourite is lure fishing and for me that means bass (had a 48cm one yesterday) - do you catch many bass in Northumberland… Hello Ash 👍😄
Thanks Greg 🙏 we can catch Codling most of the year up this way shore and boat, there’s loads more in winter though. I’ve not caught a bass yet, I really want to this year 🤞
@@fishinghinny they do scrap well, a bit like Pollack, although i’ve not caught one of those in years as we just don’t see them here. FWIW I tend to watch your videos right through at home on my ipad.
You go girl as you know i watch your videos and this is by far the best you have got yourself in the groove and what a day for you out on the water enjoy it and be safe crack on lass
Hi Hinny, I always watch them on my tablet with earphones on while the family watch whatever else on the tv. Really enjoy your videos, keep up the good work and tight lines for the future.
Love your videos...usually watch on TV and I'm subscribed. I only started fishing last year but I love it, my boys love it too. My other half is a Carp man but loves sea fishing too. 🩵
@fishinghinny My in-laws love sea fishing too, we were at South Gare breakwater last weekend and it was brill for the mackerel but a fight with the seals 🦭😂
I watch them first thing in the morning with a coffee all the way through. Your videos are getting much better and I see you are gaining much more fishing knowledge well done keep it up.
First of all CONGRATS ON THE 2K its well deserved, im on my way to 400, another cracking video, great footage and great fishing always look forward to your videos
