There was a time when our attention was rewarded with information. What exactly is a sea lion. What are their habits and place within the ecosystem. How and why have they come to be an endangered species. Now we get this. Yes, they are cute. We can all see that. 🧐
THIS is just one of the reasons we left Sac. Sea Lions are here for easy pickings via SALMON ,STRIPPERS SHAD, SMALL STURGION and STEELHEAD ! THEY eat them and are not shy about taking all of them from fisherman OR staging at the Nimbus Hatchery to EAT THEM ! Steelhead dont die right away after spawning and after they are stripped of eggs and milt the f/g send them down a pvc pipe into the river to return to the ocean and come back to spawn agian sometimes 4 times ! THE LIONS ARE THERE LIKE A PACK OF DOGS EATING THEM LIKE TREATS ... YOU say so what well let me explain ,The fisherman PAY for these fish by buying a licence and ill tell you it is not CHEAP! I did not catch a steelhead for the last 3 yrs in Sac. and if you are paying attention salmon is dismall and closed ! HA so go ahead keep feeding them and see what happens ... Sac . economy depends somewhat on fisherman and if this continues ... well GOOD LUCK AND GOOD BY !
