Understanding Gang Raids
Gang Raids are a pivotal feature in Sea of Conquest, offering opportunities to earn high-level ship parts such as Fury o' the Storm and Sacred Guardian. These items do not drop from sea monsters but can be obtained through the Auction and Gang's Mint, both linked to Gang Raids.
Gang Raids become available in Season 2 (S2), differing from Squad Raids by allowing up to 30 members to participate. Only R4 and R5 members can initiate or terminate the raid, and there are five difficulty levels: Beginner, Easy, Hard, Hell, and Purgatory. Each level includes three bosses: Angler Fish, Kraken, and Ghost Ship, each offering guaranteed rewards upon first defeat and a chance for non-guaranteed items.
Rewards and Drops
Guaranteed rewards from Gang Raids include gems for season specialization, season energy (like Sacred Spring Energy in S5), Eternal Flame, speedups, emeralds, and other season-related items. These rewards are only given for the first kill each week.
Non-guaranteed items, such as Hero Badges and Sacred Guardian Ship Parts, drop by chance. The likelihood of these drops increases with more first-kill members participating in the raid, but repeatedly joining the same raid won't further increase the drop chance.
Maximizing Drop Chances
To maximize the number of auction items dropped during Gang Raids, which in turn provides more options for members to bid on, follow these tips:
Scheduling: R4 or R5 members should set a raid schedule to ensure all members know when to participate. Holding raids twice a day can accommodate different time zones. The more first-kill members in the raid, the higher the chance of auction items dropping.
Communication: Educate members not to initiate attacks prematurely. Only R4 should call for attacks to ensure maximum participation. Premature attacks prevent other members from joining and can result in the raid being canceled and restarted, wasting time.
Monitoring Drop Chances: R4 should closely monitor the drop chance, which increases with more first-kill members. Aim for a 70% drop chance before initiating the raid to optimize rewards.
Strategic Participation: Although unlimited Gang Raids are possible, only the first kill counts for rewards. If the drop chance is low, cancel the raid and wait for more first-kill members to join. Effective scheduling and coordination are key.
Utilizing Auction and Gang's Mint
More auction items mean more bidding opportunities for members. When items are sold, all members receive a dividend in the form of Gang's Mint coins. These coins can be used in the Gang's Mint shop to acquire special ship parts. Therefore, optimizing the gang raid process benefits everyone in the gang.
To avoid internal competition and conserve emeralds, establish a rule within the gang to avoid outbidding each other at the Auction House.
