I wasn't really feeling the game but was still somewhat curious about it so I watched your vids. You do a better job telling the game's story than it does itself IMO. Definitely better paced. Thanks for the videos.
Thank you for the videos. I couldn't force myself to finish the game, the combat was so dull and boring compared the their first game. At least i got to see the entire story and so glad i didn't invest time into finishing this myself, it's so bleh.
I understand, it was especially tough at the rainbow conch part for me, not a fan of having to go through getting every single one in order to see the actual ending. I really enjoyed the fighting system though, but yeah it's not for everyone. I'm glad these videos were helpful, and thank you for watching!
0:13 cloud kingdom is just kingdom of zeal from Chrono trigger 0:24 you gotta be joking 3:29 RIP Warrior cook😢 you are always be remember as Best boy in the game 4:35 best moment in the game 4:44 this is 2nd boss from 2300AD in chrono trigger 4:50 biggest twist in the game 5:31 pretty much future world from chrono trigger 5:42 just like village from 2300 AD in chrono trigger 6:17 most annoying area in the game, it took me while to figure out 7:26 best boss in the game 7:51 best thing about this game, title screen always change based on number of party and world 8:15 lol I thought same thing 8:40 actually it's easy game for me 9:26 most OP attacks in the game 9:40 seem like there is more story to tell, maybe in the sequel or The Messenger 2 10:17 fantasy game turn into science fiction 10:35 this is basically Contra boss in RPG game lol. 11:02 I'm sure, if Garl is alive he'll like surprise by futuristic machine 😮, the game missed best moment 11:19 If non of those party has done engineering degree 11:34 talk about smartest engineer who can do reverse engineering on blueprint 13:04 you have unlock ultimate power the flying ability 13:19 good thing you have completed some side quest 13:37 this is hardest boss in the game, but I eventually beat him 14:14 this is funny moment in the game, best chest was empty 14:26 Magic sword has more power over guns 14:52 you can find this pet after you entered the boat ⛵ 15:06 finally durk has been free from his curses 15:15 this is best dungeon in the game 15:38 this sequel is similar to persona 4 and persona 5 striker illusion before final boss 16:04 where are they sending the enemies? to the sequel of sea of stars 16:59 I thought this is mid boss not final boss 17:02 Virgil: I need more power 17:06 Queen zeal boss from chrono trigger 17:18 yep, killing own useless Hintchman to show evilness 17:20 most disappointing ending of sea of stars, I thought we should fight that villains why is he running? 17:36 nier automata hacking battle 17:46 so she doesn't has to worry about her secret to her crew 18:06 this reference from the messager 18:11 wait, question mark ❓ on the end? 18:27 you have to find every blue chest to 🐚 18:48 this is pretty much chrono trigger reference where we switch doll to chrono in order to save him just like the game saved garl 19:24 hardest fish to catch 19:51 it's payback time 19:57 best final boss in the game 20:04 this boss continue for half of hour 20:25 look brother, we gotta back in sequel, so come with us 20:42 they still have to go 20:49 those two will back in the sequel 21:10 most satisfied ending in the game which makes me tears in my eyes 😢 also both got reincarnated and came back to grandpa garl 21:30 this is where sea of stars timeline get spilt 1. Woah thanks for all the comments haha it was fun to rewatch the video with your reactions ! I really need to replay Chono Trigger and maybe try Persona then ! Sabotage studios said they're already working on a DLC, I would love to see a prequel with young Resh'an and Aephorul like you said, or maybe an alterative ending to the ones we get. A sequel to learn more about what the Fleshmancer and his minions became after our victory would also be interesting, I'm looking forward to play it !
I can't speak for The Fleshmancer but it's very strongly implied that the four acolytes are merged with the Dweller of Dread to become the Demon King in The Messenger, with Brugaves serving as the Demon King's lieutenant (the demon guy who is "fastest in the land").
@@GoeTeeks Ah yes when Aephorul says they'll become the king of a new race. This is why we need a prequel/sequel, still many questions left unanswered !
Did you cry like... a lot when we lost him? They made him too likable. I feel like the world lost its best person. Because that's exactly what happened. I hate that fleshmancer pos. Sorry i can't finish watching this last video boss. I don't want the ending ruined for me : ) The true ending i mean.
Okay update. I decided to just finish watching this because I'm a busy guy and finding ALL 60 of those lil effing things is a bs chore that I'm not up for hahaha. Oh mannn the true ending is sooo much better. So happy to see Garl come back and call out the flesh mancer for being a coward. I love Garl soo much hahaha. Well shoot haha... I love this game so much I think I am gunna find those 60 things and do it myself. Even if I just ruined the ending for myself but watching this video. IT's just THAT GOOD of a game. The default ending sucked sooo hard lol. Like what even happened to brugraves? The true ending is sooo much better. Sets us up for a sequel down the line perhaps that will be super amazing as well : )
@@hourliche It was when Garl suddenly knew what to do next, too much prophecies by that point. When the world feels so magical it also feels unrelatable, like when something can be resurrected, you don't see death the same way as you do in real life. I just like down-to-earth slice-of-life lol, fantasy is cool as long as it's kept to minimal.
I gotta admit the whole "Garl knows everything" reminds me a lot of the classic "shut up it's magic" and easily rushes some plot lines. I also think this mechanic leaves some of the story to our theories and maybe a dlc ! I actually enjoy full on fantasy though, as long as it's well written I guess
I love the end, cause you remember that Aephorul is still immortal, and him losing is just him sulking, and Re'shan being like "come on back home you are grounded". Anyways it's such a great game.
Agreed ! I like that they kept it coherent, I'm still very curious of what must've happened next 😁 Aephorul's ego getting hurt didn't change much of his evil nature considering the events of The Messenger.
