Hey PhuzzyBond I want to get the ashen curse and in order to get the rewards will I have to complete the shroud breaker or any of the other y’all tales or does anybody else know
TTV_R2D43PO to get the ashen curse (if I’m remembering correctly) you have to complete the heart of fire tall tale. I don’t remember if u have to beat it 5 times or 100% it but it should tell you under the heart of fire tall tale tab. EDIT: I just looked in game and it says you have to 100% complete the heart of fire tall tale
i recently started playing sea of thieves (2 weeks ago) and on my second run i got totally destroyed. i stopped playing for a while after the toxic encounter, but the itch came back. i searched sot on YT and your channel came up. i can say that i’m back in the game now and slowly making my way up the ranks. your videos have helped me improve so much !
I also am seriously dissapointed about the toxic community i today had a emmisary level 5 flag and had enough loot to become pirate legend then I helped a brig and joined their alliance. But then I wanted to give them the chest of thousend grogs. But they started to attack my ship with their cannons. I sank. And they took everything
@@friend610 Exactly mate. While it is possible to join alliance, it is rather short lived. My momma always told me to never trust strangers. Well who could've expected that it would actually be useful? Anyway that is the reason that I recommend everyone to find a trusty crew if playing solo.
join alliance only to keep track of them in your map and to sail away from them..if they sell before you then u get loot too..thats the only profitable part of alliance..
The best advice is, get a friend. Not a random crew, that's very hit and miss, but I am sick to death of having to go up against 2-3 man or more crews solo. There's not way to manage a boarder, the cannons and damage repair all at once.
Phuzzy, I was wondering if you could pass 3 suggestions on to the developers. 1. And the most important, the ability to purchase supply crates and empty chests from the merchant alliance with gold. 2. The ability to Bury Treasure chests with the other mouse key while holding a shovel. (Opposite of digging) it could even then give you a map showing where on the island your item is. 3. When ringing a bell in fog, listen for an echo of the bell to know if there is a ship or land near by.
A very much agree and I thought of the same thing! Imagine being able to stash a storage crate full of your favorite goodies when you have to go offline for a while but come back to find a treasure map in your wheel showing you where you left it so you can recover it
I also have 3 more suggestions. 1 the initial spawn and respawn of a ship in a server should come with a harpoon rowboat like in the arena, and this rowboat should be able to take on the color scheme of the hull of your ship 2 they should make it so when your ship sinks it respawns with the same supplies you had in the barrels. Im so tired of losing actual hours gathering supplies when some scrub sinks me. Sure, you sunk me, take my loot but FOR THE LOVE OF NEPTUNE dont toucha my supplies! >:( And 3 if you are solo on a ship there should be an option for "quick respawn" that allows you to skip the revive and trip to the ferry, in the same manner dying/respawning in the arena works. Nothing is more dreadful than anxiously waiting to arrive on the ferry, then frustrated pacing as you wait for the bell, then sitting there in a black screen helplessly listening to your ship sink as the game takes its sweet time to re-render the same area you were just in 5 minutes ago, only to wait EVEN LONGER to appear at whatever island your ship popped up at 20 kilometers away downwind 😰 the stress is real I understand not everyone may agree with this and rare may never make this wishful thinking even partly into a hopeful reality but one can only dream of a better experience you know 😔
Look matey i do not agree with burying treasure back to the ground. The game is sometimes about losing all your treasure (along with your ship) to the other pirates that roam this seas. And the game itself does it alreqdy for you. You lost your loot (that wasn't really yours in the first place let's be honest for once) but you can take on another voyage that will GENERATE the loot.
As with purchasing supply crates from merchants...you don't have to do that too. Recently they added feature where supply crates drop from skeleton ships. Maybe even Megalodon and Kraken. I ain't quite sure about those two. So the point is to get out there and engage in a fight. And if you see a supply crate on another ship...well one more reason to sink them isn't it?
I'm new here, finally getting to play! Just found all these videos. They're great, you're definitely one of the better content creators for this game having searched through RU-vid. Cheers
I have been playing SoT for about 7 months, i clicked on this video bc i always learn something from Phuzzy, keep it up man! your hard work and dedication is truely appreciated!
My man is coming in clutch! You really helped kinder my pirate fire. And your videos have helped me in the game. I need some help with the sword lung-jump thing. I can't seem to get it!
I just got Sea of Thieves yesterday, have played 4hrs total so far. I did a few voyages for the gold hoarder and bought a new flag and sails with the money. (Parrot flag and blue sails, both matching color). The first time I spawned in and before I could even leave port, another boat arrived and pummeled my boat with cannonballs and set it on fire. I just stood there watching and shook my character's head. The guy that launched himself with the cannon and set my ship on fire was watching me as I shook my head and then started dancing on my burning ship in response. Lol it was so funny.
At about 9 minutes in, I believe you intended to put a link in the top right but for me, it did not pop up. Thanks for the new video! Cant wait to see more battles
Amazing job Phuzzy! Rare should really consider featuring this video for initial load ups of the game, there's a ton of stuff in here that took me forever to figure out on my own! 10/10!
Thank you, captn! New player here, I don't really want to spoil my journey much and this guide was very helpful. Found out about this game once I got my XBox and Game Pass 2 weeks ago and I just couldn't believe how good it is. Decided to buy it for PC, due to the camera movement advantage when you use mouse instead of controller, and now checking out some general info about tips/tricks and what the heck those scary looking clouds represent. I must say I was happy that I've had some camouflage brown pants equipped to not be that noticeable what happened when I saw the Meg for first time on that Maiden's Voyage tutorial. Amazing looking game, weather and water and the way they impact your gameplay - phenomenal. The only downside is that I get a lot of disconnects at, I assume, some prime time, maybe servers need improvement. Once again, thanks for the vid!
For beginners or anyone looking to learn, Phuzzy is the best at guides. He is recognized by many other SoT streamers as the best. He can be considered the Professor of SoT. He will answer questions in chat on his streams and loves helping others. I have played for over a year and a half and still learn from this man after thousands of hours of gameplay. Everything he does is worth watching! Keep up the great work Phuzzy!
Thanks Phuzzy, just watched your intro video. Never played SOT, and want to play it in between Destiny 2. Your video was very helpful, have a subscription! ♥️
Hey, I’ve been playing for about 2 and a half years and saw this. I wanted to watch to see how beginning players play now, and I noticed at the setting sail part you said that if the wind is against you you should put your sail as far to the side as possible. But it’s actually faster to put you sail directly against the wind rather than to the far side. This was made a while ago so you may have an updated guide, but I thought I’d let you know incase you still do this
I’m not even new, I’ve played for over a year and started when it came out I just stopped playing. In a pirate legend and everything I just love to see what they count as new player yk. Love the video btw
Phuuuuuuuzzyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! - We need a Longer video.. with some chilling and some fishing.. Something we can just put on, chill to and relax to when we go to bed.. AKA - 45+ minutes of chill fishing, and explaining about how, where and when to catch different fishes
I've been playing for months and still just learned that you can sell fish at Seaposts. I thought you could only eat them. Lol. And learned exactly what all the world event sky signals were. 👍 This guy has some great content.
me and my girl is going to start to play this today, you help me so much , so she can think i am the handsome know it all good player and take care of her . thx phuzzybond.
on a sloop I always drop an anchor and leave ship with full sails on. Raising anchor on sloop take how long? 10s? if 10s makes a difference then you already did something very wrong :)
Geeeez... there is a lot of New players on seas, its great thing To the game but when playing open crews it might be frustrating if you have nerves like mine😂 love these tutorials, i hit yesterday pirate legend athens 8. You are only toxic free sot RU-vidr and i salute you sir🙌 keep up the awesome work
Hey guys me and the boys want to buy this game, can i ask you if it's worth to buy? Does it get boring soon or it keep you playing for hundred of hours and still feel funny and not repetitive? Do you have some worth objectives to gring or you don't have any? It looks like a really fun game to play with friends but i'm afraid it get booring soon. Thanks everyone for the advices
Hi! I've got a question that hopefully anyone could answer. My friend and I started playing recently. Yesterday my friend and I played in a game and sunk a ship that was docked on an island. After we looted them we found out they were coming back for us so we tried to sail off and they started a chase. During that chase, while our ship was full of loot, we got attacked by a kraken, then a megalodon, and then a skeleton ship that kept hitting us with anchorballs all in the span of between five and ten minutes and we were sunk merely because of the skeleton ship constantly barraging us while the player ship chased us. Needless to say, we came out of that game pretty bummed out. My question is, is there some sort of correlation between how much loot you have on the ship and how likely you are to get attacked by world entities? Or did we just have a really bad luck that day?
The chance that a skeleton ship spawns is higher if you have a lot of loot on the ship. I don't know if the chance of a megalodon or kraken spawning is higher if you have a lot of loot. But if it works in the same way with them, then I have never noticed that.
Update: It was found out that when sailing directly against the wind, you should NOT angle your sails, but leave them stratight instead (makes no sense, but it goes faster). If the wind is at a diagonal, but still coming from the front, leave it straight on sloops, but angled on brigantines and galleons
just got the game today, thanks for the help- when you go to an island, why is there the name of the island in red or green, does the colour mean anything
I was wondering if the ashen blunderbuss and weapon set Is still available? I looked other tutorials on how to get it but they were all outdated, and further reading upon a wiki it said it was an event only thing and cannot be obtained anymore. Could you confirm if this is the case? And if not could you explain or link me somewhere for a tutorial on how to get them?
I've been playing since launch and still watch every single guide in case there's something I missed lmao, for instance I didn't know skelly ships that sail around won't attack unless attacked.
Yesterday I was fishing from my sloop docked at the Outpost when a skellie galleon sailed up - it fired once (hit the dock) and then sailed around the island, came back and sank me at the dock. I never fired on them or even moved. They WILL attack unprovoked.
A few days ago me and a friend were trying to do some gold hoarder reputation up and we came to an island but they’d idiots where on the island using cannons to shoot at our boat so I cannoned out of our boat and told him to circle around the island. Long story short I landed on there boat and stole all there loot my friend pulled up and we got there loot onto our boat and then sank there boat. That was so badass.
My real dog's name is Milo and he looks exactly like the one from movie The Mask. Shame there are no Jack Russells in the game. Thanks for the great videos Phuzzy
So you said to vote for a emissary flag you need to make a one time purchase to get it. Does that mean you only need to buy it one time forever then you can get another if someone steals it or something? I haven’t spent the 20k to buy one because I’m afraid of it getting stolen as i suck at pvp and ply solo.
@@PhuzzyBond I don't have an Xbox and never plan on getting one so yea, also my laptop doesn't have enough power to withstand sea of theives so that's life I guess.
