Scattershots are very good for solo sloops, because bigger ships are much easier to hit with them than sloops. A galleon would have to be very very close to hit every ball while you could be further away and be more effective due to galleons having more holes.

@@Sentinel_of_the_GFI also repairing a sloop takes far less time than a galleon since to repair a galleon you need to go all the way below deck also the skeleton bombs could give you a fighting chance as a solo by distracting the enemy

I genuinely recommend to new ps5 players to watch a complete history of the sea of thieves video, it helps to understand whats happening because when I joined I had no clue what in the world a gold hoarder was lol

It'd be cool if you could cut loose, or shoot off any harpoons that got hold of your ship. Make boarding more of an intense challenge like in a Johnny Depp movie.

You can't cut the rope but you CAN shoot or slash the enemy's harpoon to unattach it. You can do that with any harpoon so it's pretty close to what you're saying. I only found that out recently from a random RU-vid vid.

I have a feeling like the throwing knives will have a large impact on boarding (not just the harpoons) I’m imagining a scenario where the helm/bulge throws their knife onto a boat their teammate is boarding who promptly picks it up and uses it

Coolest update to seas in a LONG time. So excited. I wonder how this will shake up the weapon meta? I doubt I will end up going away from my sword/pistol combo but the daggers do sound like fun for sure.

I've wanted to play this game since it was first announced, and now thanks to its release on PlayStation, I'm finally able to. I bought the premium edition for early access, and it was definitely a good buy! I've already had a ridiculous amount of fun and haven't even scratched the surface of what this game can offer. I'm looking forward to hopefully many years ahead when I can finally be the pirate I've always meant to be. This is going to be so awesome!
